Disha P. Rathi: Empowering Entrepreneurs With Strategy, Systems & AI

Disha P. Rathi
Founder, Digitalzaa Enterprises

Digital marketing experts today operate in a far more complex environment than simply managing campaigns, generating leads or improving online visibility. As businesses become increasingly digital, marketing decisions are closely connected with sales, customer experience, operations, technology and team performance. This has expanded the role of marketing professionals, requiring them to understand not only how to attract customers but also how different functions work together to convert opportunities into sustainable growth. Professionals who develop this broader business perspective are increasingly moving beyond campaign execution to become growth strategists, trainers and entrepreneurs.

Disha P. Rathi, Founder of Digitalzaa Enterprises, has built her professional journey around this evolution. With around 15 years of experience spanning digital marketing, sales, operations, management, training and team handling, she has developed a cross-functional understanding of what it takes to build and grow a business.

Disha began her career with a stronger focus on marketing, but experience gradually showed her that marketing alone could not drive an organisation’s growth. Generating visibility and leads was important, but their business impact depended equally on sales processes, customer interactions, operational efficiency and the capabilities of the people responsible for execution. This realization encouraged her to become increasingly involved in sales, operations, team management, training and customer-facing responsibilities.

Working across these functions changed her perspective from viewing business activities independently to understanding the organisation as an interconnected system. It also became an important foundation for Digitalzaa Enterprises.

Through Digitalzaa, Disha seeks to help entrepreneurs move beyond isolated marketing activities and develop a more structured approach to growth. Her focus is on enabling businesses to understand the systems, processes, people and strategies behind execution, bringing marketing into a broader framework designed to support clarity, consistency and sustainable business growth.

Digitalzaa was created to help entrepreneurs move from marketing confusion to structured growth. What market gap led you to build the company?

When I started in digital marketing, the focus was primarily on SEO and lead generation. Over time, I realized that generating leads was only one part of building a business. Through my interactions with around 500 professionals and numerous entrepreneurs, I saw that many had ideas and talent but lacked a structured roadmap for execution. With so many marketing platforms, AI tools and technologies available today, the absence of clarity can create even more confusion. I built Digitalzaa to bridge this gap by bringing together frameworks, systems, templates, processes and technology that help entrepreneurs turn ideas into structured, executable business models.

What experiences gave you the confidence to move from digital marketing into entrepreneurship and leadership?

My transition into leadership happened gradually as my responsibilities expanded beyond marketing. Once I began managing teams, I found myself resolving conflicts, handling customer negotiations, addressing delivery challenges, training people and strengthening their capabilities. Successfully managing these responsibilities gave me the confidence to move into sales, operations and entrepreneurship. It also shaped Digitalzaa’s actionoriented approach to training because I believe knowledge must translate into outcomes. One of my biggest leadership lessons has been that when something goes wrong, the person is not always the problem. Sometimes the strategy, process or direction needs correction. Good leadership requires understanding that difference and enabling people to perform better.

How do you balance AI-driven innovation with the human creativity and strategic thinking that effective marketing still requires?

I see AI as an enabler rather than a replacement for human intelligence. Before adopting technology, a business must understand its vision, positioning, brand identity and objectives. AI can then make execution faster and more efficient. At Digitalzaa, we are working towards integrating workflows involving tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Google Docs and Google Sheets to simplify business planning, content, branding and related activities. However, technology cannot decide what a brand should represent or how it should connect with people. Human creativity, judgment and strategic thinking remain essential. The right approach is to let people determine the direction while using AI to strengthen execution.

How will AI change the role of digital marketers, and what opportunities does it create for women entrepreneurs and small businesses?

I believe digital marketers will increasingly work alongside AI rather than compete with it. Repetitive activities such as drafting emails, preparing basic marketing materials and creating communication scripts can be delegated to AI, allowing professionals to spend more time on creativity, strategy and customer engagement. However, AI output must always be monitored rather than accepted blindly. Human judgment is essential for ensuring accuracy, relevance and brand alignment. For women entrepreneurs and small businesses, AI can provide access to capabilities that once required larger teams and resources, creating significant opportunities to compete and scale. My principle is simple: humans should drive AI; AI should never drive humans.

What leadership principles would you like to share with the next generation of women entrepreneurs and business leaders?

I believe sustainable leadership begins with balancing ambition with mental and emotional well-being and maintaining perspective across professional and personal responsibilities. Entrepreneurship will always bring hurdles, so resilience is essential. Instead of remaining stuck on a problem, leaders must learn from it, find a way forward and continue progressing. Technology, AI and business skills can always be learned and strengthened, but clarity, determination and the willingness to keep moving are equally important. For women especially, I believe financial independence, confidence and continuous learning are powerful foundations. Build your own identity, keep developing your capabilities and remain committed to your vision even when the journey becomes difficult.
