Arpita Joshi: Bridging The Gap Between The Right Company & The Right Aspirants

Arpita Joshi
Founder, oratiohrm

Arpita Joshi, Founder, OratioHRM is a leader in the recruiting industry who is piloting a vision of going beyond the usual by putting the right efforts in the right direction. Arpita has 13+ years of professional experience in diverse industries, working on different mandates in IT like Distributed systems engineer, Automation Engineer, Data Scientist and non IT like sales, marketing, mechanical design, purchase, procurement, finance, and HR. It was in 2020 that she decided to walk the path of entrepreneurship and established OratioHRM. The idea behind the organization was to help Startups & MNCs meet the increasing demands of skilled professionals. One thing that makes Arpita a unique entrepreneur is her purpose of helping women rebuild their careers and fabricate identities for themselves.

Her company is managed by a team of women and her method of operating is not restricted to time & place, at the same time ensuring sincerity & dedication by her team. She is an impeccable leader who believes women need to realize the importance of pursuing their own interests alongside performing their family responsibilities. This impression of selfdependency was inculcated in Arpita by her mother at a very young age. She says, “My mother wanted me to be prepared for all kinds of adversities in life and for that, she motivated me to be on my own.” The ideology was carved in her mind and has been the driving force behind all her successful endeavors. Let’s hear it from her.

What motivated you to foray into the field of recruitment? Tell us about the underlying idea behind OratioHRM.

I have done my bachelor’s in Electronics and have worked across diverse organizations. But everywhere I felt a lack of appreciation both financially and operationally. Also, I felt a lack of freedom of participation in the decision-making of the company. Hence, it made me curious to build something of my own and prove that productivity has nothing to do with micromanagement. I believe in a self-motivated team where I can trust them and at the same time provide all the support they need. Additionally, I have always been passionate about IT which gave me the idea of establishing a recruiting firm that would help me stay in touch with the latest trends in the tech space. Coming from an engineering background makes it easier for me

in understanding technology and enables me to be the bridge between the right company and the right candidate.

Throw some light on the various services that OratioHRM specializes in. In your opinion what are some of the most unique features of the firm & its services?

OratioHRM is a consultancy providing IT as well as non-IT sector recruitment solutions. We specialize in recruitment for product-based startups and MNCs. Team OrationHRM has a unique way of working; we hire on the basis of around 20 screening questions that are prerequisites for a particular role. We have screen widgets that help us to put forward resumes that are qualified for the first few rounds of interviews. We help save time both for our companies and candidates. We maintain complete transparency on both sides putting out the red flags in advance.

“As a woman, you must choose a profession that is financially rewarding, as well as, give you time to take care of your family. It should be such that You're able to achieve the Balance between your Aspirations & your family Commitments”

In your opinion what are the milestones that you have achieved through OratioHRM? What has been the driving force behind your success?

In OratioHRM we have expertise in niche technological skills like Distributed systems, Golang, Kubernetes, and data science. A few years back when we entered the market most people were not familiar with such skills but we were able to successfully close positions. I consider them a big achievement for the company. What keeps me driving is my eagerness to look beyond cliche, be independent, and sustain an identity of my own.

How do you foresee the recruitment industry evolving in the near future? What are your views?

The recruitment industry is evolving at a rapid pace. It started with paper resumes, then moved to online job portals and fromthere now we have AI-driven portals & consultancies. This industry is transforming in terms of technology. Today candidates are evaluated and hired through online tests and scrutinization. In my opinion, along with IT skills human skills are equally important for a successful closing.

What would be your advice for the young women foraying into the entrepreneurial journey?

Choose your careers wisely. Do not get driven by just passion or money. Your career has to be a combination of both. As a woman, you must choose a profession that is financially rewarding, as well as, give you time to take care of your family. It should be such that you're able to achieve the balance between your aspirations and your family commitments.
