India is home to limitless talent and enterprising minds. However, the country’s sharp minds are not just created by accident. Instead, they are nurtured and honed by high calibre institutions that were established by the Indian government after the country’s independence. IIT Delhi is one of the 23 IITs in India. The iconic institution was established in 1961 with the aim of training, research and development in science, engineering and technology.
Over 48000 students have graduated from IIT Delhi so far in various disciplines including Engineering, Physical Sciences, Management and Humanities & Social Sciences. The institution has produced some of the most influential leaders and sharp minds who have worked for the advancement of the nation.
One such name to have graduated from the coveted halls of IIT Delhi is Dr. Rashi Gupta. Armed with a double master's degree from IIT Delhi in mathematics and computer applications and a Ph.D holder from the European Graduate School in Data Analytics, she is a skilled leader and holds expertise in areas like data mining and complex data management.
In the current edition of Women Entrepreneur India magazine, Dr Rashi shares her message for aspiring women leaders. She says, “Try to gain as much exposure and breadth as you can in the early years of your study as you try to discover your interests. Instead of limiting oneself to a single or two difficulties, young brains should attempt to be exposed to as many topics as possible. This early education will enable one to take big decisions in difficult situations. So, the crux of all of this is, to dive deeper and dream big, so go for it.”
Another inspirational women leader shares her journey and thoughts with us in the current edition. Meet Mohini Kapoor, Senior Director- Customer Engineering, Adobe.
