Indian Dentistry Industry Forging Ahead

Healthcare is one of the most essential foundations for any nation and India is no exception. Dentistry forms a significant part of this ever burgeoning industry and has been a growing sector in itself.

India is a major player in the dentistry industry owing to its manufacturing capabilities when it comes to dental products. The Indian dentistry market has been at the receiving end of enormous investment opportunities through FDI, outsourcing to healthcare BPO’s and sectoral growth in the field of telemedicine, diagnosis, and more. India is also a major exporter of dental products to other nations across the globe. According to reports, the Indian dental services market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 7.34 percent between 2017-2030.

The current edition of Women Entrepreneur magazine brings to you stories of some of the most accomplished women dentists in India. On the cover we have Dr. Paramjot Kaur, Founder, Vats & Param - The Dentists. Dr. Paramjot is a specialist periodontist with over a decade of experience in a range of dental specialties including bone augmentation, full mouth rehabilitation, and bio-aesthetic dentistry. She is the founding member of The Holomedicine Association, Vatsalya Oral foundation and The League of Dentists.

The issue also brings to you the story of Dr. Aastha Chandra, Co- Founder & Chief Dentist, Opal Dental Care Studio. She has completed her graduation from one of India’s premier institutions – Government Dental College, Mumbai. Having worked for over a decade, she is extremely passionate about Dental Care and provides the best treatment, materials, and recovery plans for her patients, and is known for treating every patient with utmost care and empathy.

Another talented leader featured in the issue is Dr. Cherry Chamria, Chief Dentist- Dr. Cherrys Dental Studio & Founder, Online Dental Shopping. A dentist by qualification, Dr. Cherry has exhibited her leadership skills by establishing her clinic Dr. Cherrys Dental Studio & her business Online Dental Shopping. With a demonstrated history in dentistry, she is helping numerous patients to have healthy smiles.

Lastly, we have Dr. Monali Tamhankar, Director, owner and chief endodontist, Ceramco Dental Clinic joining the coveted list. Dr. Monali, a Super Woman by definition, successfully does the fine balancing act of being a devoted mom to her kids and a leading specialist in her field of dentistry. She is one of the top Endodontists in Mumbai who has also specialized in Cosmetic dentistry and Mini Implants from the University of Leeds, UK.
