IIT Mumbai: An Oasis Of World-Class Engineering Education & Research

IIT Mumbai is recognized across the world as a pioneering educational institution in the field of engineering education and research. Founded in 1958, IIT B is one of the most sought after IITs in the country today. It was the second Indian institute to be set up with foreign assistance. It was in 1961 when the Indian Parliament recognized the IITs as ‘Institutes of National Importance'. Since then the institute has helped nurture some of the most prolific technical minds of the country.

Madhuri Sawant, Founder, Brainquartz Learnings is one such leader whose professional journey is highlighted in the magazine’s current edition. Having spent more than a decade in the education sector, Madhuri recognized the crucial role that well-trained teachers play in shaping students’ educational journey. Her deep understanding of the importance of teacher training and her passion for transforming education led her to establish Brainquartz Learnings, an organization that delivers world-class teacher training solutions.

Neha Gupta, Founder & CEO of the International Fashion Business Exchange Council is another IIT B alumni featured in the magazine. She is dedicated to supporting the movement to combat the large carbon footprint that fast fashion has impacted climate change. Neha is committed to realizing the organization's vision by emphasizing upcycling and recycling of clothing. Through her efforts, she is redefining fashion and promoting sustainable practices in the industry.
Zahara Kanchwalla, Co-Founder & CEO, Rite Knowledge Labs also shares her life’s journey with us. Zahara, an engineering graduate in plastics with a post-diploma in computer applications, began her professional journey as a programmer. Transitioning to the IT industry, she discovered the intersection of content, communications, and technology while working in global marketing and communications at Tech Mahindra. This experience has greatly influenced her present journey and the valuable expertise she brings to the table.
