On their Own Terms: Women Leaders Redefine Ambition

The corporate world is a not an easy space to excel in. characterised by tough competition and market pressures, acing business leadership is a herculean feat. The route to the top is especially tougher for female professionals who often encounter gender-specific roadblocks. Be it leaky pipelines, lack of mentorship, dearth of opportunities or several other societal challenges, women professionals have it harder moving from middle management positions to leadership roles.

According to a CII report, Indian women’s participation in senior management roles is considerably low at around 18%. Women hold only 14% of top executive positions in India’s leading 500 firms.

As India positions itself as an global economic powerhouse, integration of women into leadership roles is a crucial step forward aiming sustainable growth and fostering an inclusive economy.

While the industry and society have to do their part in building structures that support women in leadership roles, an extra nudge or guidance will also work wonder to boost women leaders’ journey to success. hearing from existing women leaders and getting to know more about their journey to success can act as a catalyst in helping aspiring women leaders dream big.

The current edition of Women Entrepreneurs Review magazine features prolific women leaders who are acing leadership in their respective industries and also acting as inspirations for young women professionals.

Dr. Snehal’s entrepreneurial vision to redefine oral care has set new standards in the industry. She has received Pan-India success and is preparing to scale and offer her services internationally to the US and Europe, responding to international interest and demand.
