Empathetic & Skilled Care Boosting Women's Health & Wellbeing

In women's healthcare, female obstetricians and gynecologists play an extremely crucial role as they manage both the challenges of reproductive health and the joys of childbirth.
These medical professionals, who focus on treating women throughout various stages of life, focus on various specializations including obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive medicine.
Female obstetricians assist expectant mothers in managing the transformative journey of pregnancy. Throughout prenatal care, labor, and delivery, they offer assistance and insights while monitoring the well-being of both the mother and baby.
They assist new mothers in overcoming the challenges of postpartum recovery and adapting to the responsibilities of parenting, showcasing their empathetic support that extends beyond the delivery room.
The reproductive care market has been exponentially growing over the years owing to a rise in infertility rates globally. Taking a closer look at the MEA fertility services sector, we see a fast-growing sector which was valued at $2.1 billion in 2023.
As this sector expands, the focus will be on judicious women gynaecologists who are at the forefront of treating women’s health issues across the Middle East region. In this edition of Women Entrepreneurs Review magazine, we meet some of Middle East’s top women gynaecologists.
One such name is Dr Elham Ali Akbari. She is an empathetic healthcare leader who specialises in reproductive medicine and fertility care. She is currently the Chief of Residents at IVF International Fertility Center in the UAE.
