
Architects Infuse Function & Aesthetics in New-Age Spaces

The world of architecture is mesmerizing. It brings the perfect amalgamation of science, technology and art which culminates in creation of functional yet aesthetically pleasing spaces. By that definition, an architect is nothing less than an artist.
There has been a rise in the demand for architectural services across the globe lately. As developed nations grow further and the construction industry expands, the need for new-age architectural services also amplifies. Urbanization is also playing a key role in the industry’s rise.
But architecture has been around for centuries. As early as 1936 is when India got its first female architect in Perin Jamshedji Mistri. She went on to design many a marvel across the country while also paving the way for future generations of women architects in the country.
Close to a century has passed since Perin’s foray into the field and following her lead, several prolific Indian women architects have entered the field. In the current edition of Women Entrepreneurs Review magazine, we shine the spotlight on a few such women architects.
One of the featured women architects is Sudiksha Parekh, the founder of Mumbai-based architecture firm, Imprint Architects.
