Kunickaa Sadanand: Guftagu with Kay

Kunickaa Sadanand became a recognisable face in Hindi and Telugu cinema during the late 1980s and 1990s, appearing in more than 100 films and often taking on memorable character roles. Her career, however, extends well beyond acting. She trained as a lawyer, released three pop albums, and worked as a producer and social activist.

In early 2025, she launched Guftagu with Kay, a talk show and podcast on her YouTube channel. The series combines candid conversations with Bollywood stories and discussions covering an unusually broad range of subjects, including cosmetic surgery, beauty myths, astrology, journalism, politics and the paranormal.

Its most-watched episode, a nearly 90-minute conversation with veteran actor Raza Murad, has crossed 120,000 views. Marking more than five decades in the industry, Murad shared insights into the less glamorous realities of cinema and offered practical advice to newcomers.

Kunickaa's transition into hosting demonstrates that reinvention does not have to happen early in a career. Decades of experience can instead become the foundation for a new platform, allowing established personalities to turn their accumulated knowledge into a fresh form of public engagement.
