Women Founders Share their Inspiration behind Taking the Entrepreneurial Plunge

Today is Women’s Entrepreneurship Day which highlights the transformative role of women in driving social and economic progress. Women Entrepreneurs Review Magazine is all set to celebrate the event with several active women leaders and entrepreneurs. Celebrating women in business, this year the day will be commemorated with the theme ‘Empowering Dreams, Inspiring Futures’.

Considering the contributions of businesswomen in India, females occupy a sum total of 14% of entrepreneurs here, in 2024, according to India Today. In addition, businesses that are led by women account for more than 20% of the MSME sector where they employ around 23% of the labor force, exemplifying 13.5 to 15.7 million businesses coming under women's control i.e., providing work to 22 to 27 million people across the country.

As per Mass Challenge and BCG. MSCI ESG’s report 2024, women empower 50% of the startup ecosystem of India. The report also stated 2024 being the years of growth for India’s entrepreneurial goals.

As we are witnessing the rising number of women founders in the entrepreneurial realm, the WER Team reached out to a number of women entrepreneurs and industry leaders with a focus on one subject i.e., ‘Women’s Role in Business World’.
