Women rule the world and there is no doubt about it. The power to love, sacrifice, and creativity, are inborn gifts that all women possess. There is a lot of potential in women and instead of relying on wages, highly trained, technologically sound and professionally skilled women should be encouraged to run their own company. On an institutional level, the government has launched several schemes to augment the entrepreneurial motivations of women and there is more noticeable political will to empower them. The enigmatic abilities of young women can be found, educated and used to improve productivity in the industrial sector for different industries. Every woman needs to have a favorable atmosphere to instill business values and to engage heavily in business transactions.
Today we can see a change in the dynamics and there are women entrepreneurs in almost all sectors and successful in all of them. If a woman sets her eye on something with her sheer will, then she can conquer anything in the world and nothing can stop her. A woman plays multiple roles in her lifetime, juggling between responsibilities to taking care of herself. To think of it, women can actually do anything and do it wonderfully!
Living in a society where women entrepreneurs aren’t given enough credit, it is hard to stay motivated and positive at all times. Of course, there are hurdles that seem too hard to cross and extremely long working days, all of which will seem like a breeze at the end of the day when you achieve your goal. Going out of your comfort zone and facing setbacks is also something you will be grateful for as they are excellent learning experiences and will keep you humbled.
We have so many successful Women Entrepreneurs despite the cultural obstacles, they are changing perceptions and creating unique and innovative businesses. They are challenging the mindset that there is limited scope for them to create good businesses. Indian women are embarking on a journey to create prosperity for themselves and for the country.
Government initiatives like Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao and improved access to social media and education have contributed to the change. The increasing presence of women entrepreneurs has led to change in the economic growth of the country. It is playing a prominent role in the society by inspiring other women and also generating more employment opportunities in the country. No work seems too hard when you have a support system, which is essential for every woman entrepreneur out there.
Study shows that businesses owned by women entrepreneurs are likely to grow up to 90% in 5 years in India. For promoting sustainable women entrepreneurship, they must be molded properly with traits and skills to meet the changes in trends, global market challenges and to sustain and excel in the Industry. Women entrepreneurship has been identified as an effective step towards poverty alleviation in the country. From women entrepreneurs who are in the limelight like Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, Ekta Kapoor, Falguni Nayar, Aditi Gupta to several others who carry out their business ventures inspire people to do the same. We have all seen women spearheading businesses for years but getting into the formal business sectors has been a challenge for them.
The major factor that has helped women entrepreneurs to rise in the country is online selling. Today, one can sell products right from home and with the boom of online shopping, a woman entrepreneur can send products to anywhere across the country and even worldwide.
We live in a digital era and everything happens online for us. Also during the pandemic there has been a huge growth of small and local businesses online and most of them are owned by women. Technology has helped them make it easier to strike that balance in personal life and keep their businesses growing. With social media pages and the right content, businesses can go places.
With the expansion in opportunities, women have been experiencing financial freedom like never before. Earlier women did not participate in investment decisions or planning long term savings but now the scenario has changed and women not only participate and make their own purchase but also have a complete control of their earnings.
Women must be encouraged and considered seriously in businesses, be it as executives or entrepreneurs because they are vital for economic growth. Further, women in power can contribute towards getting more women into the workforce and help to drive gender diversity. They can bring different perspectives and they also tend to be more strategic. Industry has changed but it will still take some time to achieve workplace equality.
When women dream and create goals, they smash them. It is amazing to be a part of a community where women have built incredible brands and are impacting the world in a positive way.
