Tell us the facets & achievements of your entrepreneurial journey that you would like us to highlight in the article?

One of the things I am proud of is the impact I have had on countless lives, which I saw first hand through the testimonials that I have received. I was also awarded the prestigious ‘South India Women Achievers Award -2019’ due to my inspirational life story. Notably, I was chosen from among 7500 women.

What were the initial challenges that helped you to pull off the success you have? And what is the inspiration behind your entrepreneurship in the soft skills industry?

It was the year 2016, and I was contemplating whether or not to become a Professional Speaker. After four years in a comfortable banking job, this felt like a major step. Nevertheless, I started by reading books and taking up courses. I met a major roadblock when I found that no one was ready to give me assignments because I was too inexperienced. Maneuvering through these took a lot of time and effort, but I finally pulled it off.

Prior to your entrepreneurial progress brief, us about your educational and professional background

Having done my MBA in HR & Marketing from Madras University, I functioned as a Relationship Manager in two competitive private banks. Also, I served as a Head Trainer in communication and soft skills at Jain University. I further conducted programs on nterpersonal Skills and Team Building Skills for MidLevel Executives of SMEs in Bangalore and Chennai.

How do you manage to keep a balance between your personal & professional life?

Proper planning is the key. I believe in prioritizing and getting more and more efficient every day with an emphasis on getting closer to our life mission, so we can lead a fulfilling professional and personal life. I also surround myself with people who provide constructive criticism and encouragement.

How has been the support from your family in your entrepreneurial journey so far?

My dad, K.M Alexander, my mother, Vilsi Alexander, and my brother, Jubin Alex have been the source of my greatest strength. Robin Mathew, my husband, has been the wind beneath my wings so far. He has always been there to support and believe in me and my dreams. I consider myself lucky to have a mother in law, Ms. Mary Philip, who encourages me to be independent. I also owe my successes to my children, Ryan and Rianna, who fill me with positivity.

How do you update yourself with the latest industrial and technological innovation? Besides your organization are you working on some other mentorship programs?

I am undergoing the mentorship program conducted by Sam Cawthorn, Founder of Speakers Institute, Australia. I also stay updated through books and programs of thought leaders in the industry and ardently follow all the emerging management trends.
