World Entrepreneurs' Day is celebrated on August 21st each year. This day is an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions that business owners have made to society, the economy, and innovation. It's time to recognize the difficulties they face, the risks they take, and the benefits they provide in terms of job creation and economic growth. Around the world, events, seminars, and activities are planned to celebrate entrepreneurship, encourage aspiring businesspeople, and showcase success stories.

Looking forward to this, the Women entrepreneurs have not only redefined industries but have also reimagined what it means to be a business leader. Through resilience, determination, and unwavering passion, they have demonstrated that success knows no gender boundaries. On World Entrepreneurs' Day, we come together to celebrate the pioneering spirit and outstanding accomplishments of businesspeople all over the world.

On this day we take a look at unique women entrepreneur stories. Whether she is a 15-year-old young woman or a woman in her 70s; whether she comes with a high pedigree or has had humble beginnings, these women entrepreneurs have defied all odds.

Queen of Indian Television: Ekta Kapoor, Producer

Ekta Kapoor is a well-known television and film producer from India who is renowned for her bold and innovative approach to content creation. She is the founder of Balaji Telefilms, a production company that has worked on a variety of movies, television programs, and digital content. She was born on June 7, 1975, in Mumbai, India. She is the daughter of renowned Bollywood actors Jeetendra and Shobha Kapoor. Her distinctive style of storytelling, focus on relatable characters, and use of dramatic twists make her shows popular. Due to her influence on the industry, she is frequently referred to as the "Queen of Indian Television".

Age is Just a Number: Urmila Jamnadas Asher - Gujju Ben Na Nasta

A 78-year-old woman who is an idol of tenacity and resiliency. To cover her family's financial crisis she started Gujju Ben Na Nasta, a Gujarati snack company that developed into a successful venture. Gujju Ben Na Nasta started with great enthusiasm as Urmila's grandson Harsh met with an accident and lost his lower lip. He did stay back at home and watch his Dadi making pickles and homemade snacks and with this, he thought of bringing these delicacies to the world. Achieving great success with this venture, Harsh and his Dadi, Urmila were invited to speak at TEDx. They are now planning to take Gujju Ben Na Nasta to the global stage.

Flying High on Success: Kanika Tekriwal – JetSetGo

Kanika Tekriwal is the founder and CEO of the Indian-based private aviation and helicopter charger company JetSetGo. It provides personalized aviation solutions, enabling both private flight bookings and aircraft charters for people and companies. Kanika had a struggling journey as she fought cancer while in college. Following her recovery, she decided to pursue her love of aviation and launched JetSetGo in 2014. Her business has worked to alter the dynamics of private aviation in India by offering solutions that are transparent, effective, and technologically driven.

Pioneer in More Ways than One: Falguni Nayar – Nykaa

Falguni Nayar is the founder and CEO of the well-known beauty brand Nykaa and is regarded as a prominent entrepreneur and businesswoman in India. Her creative thinking and dedication to providing customers with a variety of choices and a smooth shopping experience contributed to the company's success. Former investment banker and business executive Falguni entered the beauty and e-commerce industries to give Indian beauty enthusiasts a curated and practical shopping experience. A wide range of cosmetics, skincare, haircare, fragrances, and other items related to beauty are available on Nykaa's platform.

India's First Self-Made Female Entrepreneur: Kalpana Saroj – Chairperson, Kamani Tubes

An accomplished businesswoman from India who has made significant contributions to the industry of finance and real estate. She is renowned in particular for her work in rescuing struggling companies and businesses. Kalpana Saroj experienced many hardships in her early years. She encountered difficulty, but she showed incredible tenacity and fortitude to get through it and succeed. She is frequently hailed as a symbol of social advancement and female emancipation. She acquired Kamani Tubes in the late 2000s when the company was facing huge losses. Due to Kalpana’s intelligence, the company revived and had a successful turnaround of its operations.

Avantika Kampani, a 16-year-old girl has achieved recognition for her venture CHECK IN, which is a card game that encourages discussions and identification of feelings among children and adults. With this card game, Avantika hopes to promote conversations about feelings and emotions among people ages 4 to 99. Avantika noticed how difficult it was for her and her generation to talk about their emotions and feelings and how important it is to have conversations. This card game was created with the aim of providing every child an opportunity to express their truest emotions as honestly as they want to without hesitation.
