It is one of the most prestigious and renowned international film festivals. It is a prominent event that showcases a diverse range of films coming from all over the world, which includes feature films, documentaries, and short films.
The festival attracts renowned filmmakers, actors, producers, and industry professionals coming from various countries, making it a hub of networking, film promotion, and business opportunities. She has been invited to the One Young World Gala, the Forbes Le Grand Dinner, and the Cannes Luncheon, all of which are attended by celebrities and billionaires which is an initiative to support girl child education in Africa.
Meenakshi Shedde
Meenakshi Shedde is a film critic and curator who serves as the only Indian participant on the jury of this year's Cannes Film Festival. There is a list of jury members in the event who have been appointed to numerous competitions and categories. Meenakshi is a former journalist, film critic, and curator who hails from Mumbai. She has spent about four decades working in the entertainment industry. Over 25 International Film Festivals which include Cannes, Berlin, Venice, and others have selected her as a jury member. Meenakshi has also served as a curator and consultant for several international film festivals, most importantly the Bernilale, where she served for 25 years as the representative and programmer of South Asia. Meenakshi has also made her presence and voted at the renowned US Golden Globe Awards.
Dolly Singh
Dolly Singh, a fashion influencer, content creator, and also an entrepreneur with over 1.6 million Instagram followers is all set to walk the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival for the first time. She will be making her grand debut at the event in association with AJIO and Brut India. Dolly will be appearing in a mainstream film by the end of this year and is widely popular for her quirky and pocket-friendly styling tips and shopping strategies. She is not in the mood to experiment with anything now and will be more to her roots. She wanted to carry a more conventional and rooted look for her maiden appearance at Cannes.
