The Met Gala, also known as the Costume Institute Benefit, is an annual fundraising and glamorous fashion event where global fashion icons, models, and influential personalities showcase their attire, matching the theme of the year. The prestigious fashion event takes place on the first Monday of May, attracting attendees to curate their fashions marking the opening of the Costume Institute's fashion exhibit in New York City. It is an event for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in Manhattan. It is considered as "fashion's biggest night" and attracts celebrities from various professional spheres.

The Met Gala 2024 was hosted by Anna Wintour along with co-hosts Bad Bunny, Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, and Chris Hemsworth. The theme for this year's event was "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion." Celebrities graced the red carpet with their stunning looks, showcasing unique and extravagant outfits and designs, making it a fashion calendar highlight. The theme of the prestigious event was donned by every diva who graced the red carpet. Celebrities like Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny, Madonna, Rihanna, and Beyonce showcased their impeccable fashion choices. Zendaya wore a stunning silver gown with intricate detailing and a dramatic train, Jennifer Lopez with a regal gold ensemble along with a crown and cape, Bad Bunny took a futuristic look featuring metallic accents and a unique headpiece, Madonna wore a black lace dress, Rihanna, an avant-garde outfit with oversized sleeves and intricate embroidery, and Beyoncé a glittering gown that flaunted her curves.

Alia Bhatt

Bollywood diva Alia Bhatt graced the Met Gala 2024 in a stunning floral Sabyasachi saree marking her second appearance at the prestigious event. She made her debut on the red-carpet last year carrying a beautiful pearl white gown by Prabal Gurung. She looked mesmerizing in a mint green Sabyasachi saree with multicolored embroidery with a 23-foot-long train. The stunning floral embroideries in her saree along with gems attached made the look flawless. She completed her look with gorgeous rings, a matching headpiece, flawless makeup, and diamond earrings. With the dress code "The Garden of Time," Alia Bhatt's custom-embroidered saree elegantly matched this year's Met Gala theme, "Sleeping Beauty: Reawakening Fashion." She was styled by Anaita Shroff who assisted her during the event. Additionally, the jaw-dropping saree is a celebration of craftsmanship, which took 163 artisans over 1965 hours to create this magic.

Isha Ambani

Isha Mukesh Ambani, the Board Member of Reliance Retail Ventures Limited mesmerized everyone with her look at the Met Gala 2024. She was dressed in a hand-embroidered couture sari gown titled, "River of Life" by designer Rahul Mishra. The captivating outfit took over 10,000 hours to create and represent the beauty of nature. However, Isha could not make it to the red carpet as she was suffering high fever. Isha's look embraces sustainability and incorporates elements from Rahul Mishra's past collections, using applique and embroidery techniques like Fareesha, Zardozi, Nakshi, Dabka, and French knots. The design conveys hope and rebirth, supporting local craftspeople. The ensemble includes a Jade clutch created by Swadesh using ancient Indian art forms, including Nakashi and Miniature Painting featuring Hari Narain Marotia's detailed Mayura painting. The look was complimented by Viren Bhagat-designed jewelry, lotus bracelets, parrot earrings, and a flower choker.

Mona Patel

Mona Patel, an entrepreneur and philanthropist, has founded eight ventures in fashion, property, and tech, including RadXai, a health-tech startup, and Couture For Cause, a non-profit organization empowering girls worldwide. She made a stunning debut at the 2024 Met Gala carrying a custom Iris van Herpen couture and Law Roach-designed gown that stole the limelight with its intricate design. She wore a nude floor-grazing sculpted gown that featured a butterfly-shaped corset and scalloped train. The mechanical butterfly on her arms caught her attention online. The dramatic red carpet piece was created in less than 90 days. The gown features kinetic flower petals encircling her arms, a collaboration with kinetic motion artist Casey Curran which was completed a day before its red carpet debut, adding a visual twist to Mona's couture look.

Natasha Poonawalla

Natasha Poonawalla, a philanthropist, Executive Director of Serum Institute of India, and wife of Adar Poonawala "India's Vaccine Man" donned the red carpet wearing a custom ensemble from Maison Margiela's Artisanal Collection and curated by designer John Galliano at the Met Gala 2024, featuring a sculpted white strapless bodycon dress with delicate black torn chiffon detailing, a puffy white beret with black sheer chiffon layers, Christian Louboutin platform heels and statement pearl studs. Her look was adorned with glittery grey eyeshadow and vibrant red lipstick paying homage to the theme. She also carried a black chiffon layering matching white bag that acted as reminiscent of an archival piece from a dusty trunk covered in spider webs.

Sudha Reddy

Sudha Reddy, a Hyderabad-based businesswoman, graced the 2024 Met Gala with an ivory silk gown by Indian couturier Tarun Tahiliani, adorned with intricate details. The gown featured hand-carved mother-of-pearl flowers symbolizing luminosity and permanence along the silk draping resembled flower delicate flower petals. Her standout piece was her $10 million "Amore Eterno" necklace, a tribute to her family that boasted 25 diamond solitaires totaling over 180 carats. She paired the gown with a massive embroidered tulle cape and crystal shoulder accessories by designer Miodarg Guberinic. Sudha's impeccable style and philanthropic efforts solidify her status in the fashion world.
