My path in architecture has been nothing short of exhilarating, spanning diverse sectors from hospitality and healthcare to institutional and residential projects. Notably, I embarked on a transformative journey to Dubai, where I contributed to the design of the presidential palace in Abu Dhabi, a highlight of my career.

Reflecting on my growth wouldn't be complete without acknowledging the profound influence of Vasant Kamath, an esteemed architect based in New Delhi. Under his mentorship, I delved deep into the realm of ecologically and socially sensitive architecture, imbibing invaluable lessons in sustainable design principles rooted in vernacular traditions. This experience has been pivotal in shaping my trajectory in the industry.

Throughout my journey, I've honed a multitude of skills ranging from design and space planning to a nuanced understanding of building construction and customer service. My repertoire includes analytical thinking, effective communication, and the art of concept development. However, my true forte lies in design, where I thrive in crafting innovative and impactful architectural solutions.

What inspired the inception of Kreative Dezine Studio? Share the vision that propelled you to establish the company and outline its primary areas of focus.

Establishing Kreative Dezine Studio was more than just a career move; it was the realization of a long-held dream and a testament to unwavering support from my family, particularly my father, who instilled in me the belief to pursue my aspirations. While navigating the realm of conventional employment, I sensed a yearning for something more, a desire to carve my path. With encouragement from my loved ones, I took the leap to create Kreative Dezine Studio.

Our company's forte lies in crafting exceptional commercial and residential interiors that seamlessly blend aesthetics with functionality. At Kreative Dezine Studio, our dedicated team is committed to delivering spaces that not only captivate the eye but also enhance the everyday lives of our clients.

As the Principal Architect of Kreative Dezine Studio, what are the primary duties you undertake?

While my role encompasses various tasks including procurement, estimating, and guiding clients through design concepts, my paramount responsibility lies in design—the area where my expertise truly shines.

As a creative professional where do you draw your design inspiration from? Take us through your creative and conceptualization process.

My design inspiration stems from people, nature's patterns, art movements, diverse cultures, daily life, new environments, and emerging technologies. Understanding clients' needs drives me to innovate and bring their dream spaces to life. Conceptualization involves thorough discussions with clients, understanding their ideas, needs, and desires to integrate aesthetics and functionality seamlessly. For commercial spaces, technical considerations like air conditioning, electrical networking, and fire alarm systems are pivotal. Brainstorming sessions with clients and creating mood boards ensure every detail is understood and incorporated. Self-reflection fuels my creativity, allowing me to tap into intuition and deliver exceptional designs that resonate with clients' visions and requirements.

What, in your view, are some of the most significant challenges encountered as an architect, and how do you navigate these obstacles?

Among the various challenges faced by our team, the most critical revolves around convincing clients of our designs, quotations, or ideas. Sometimes, the lack of client response presents a considerable hurdle, leaving us to ponder what could have been improved. However, we proactively address these roadblocks by following up via email or phone, seeking clarity on the project status. Our communication remains professional and respectful, showcasing our dedication to project success and willingness to address concerns.

Establishing Kreative Dezine Studio stands out as the paramount milestone in my professional journey.
