Can you share with us your early education journey and prior industry experience?

I have a diverse academic background, with a focus on linguistics and a Master's degree in the field. However, I also pursued additional certifications in analytics, including data analysis, statistics, and programming languages like Python and R. I am currently enrolled in a PGDM program, where I am deepening my understanding of applying data analytics in the IT industry.

Professionally, I have gained experience in the BFSI sector, which has provided valuable insights into industry dynamics and the diversity of our nation. Working in BFSI and later in the ITeS sector, I have developed a strong understanding of the constant evolution driven by technological advancements, regulatory changes, and shifting consumer behaviors. My experience includes risk management, credit analysis, and investment banking, working with clients of all sizes and gaining exposure to various operational processes and datasets.

Being an effective data analyst goes beyond technical skills. It requires critical thinking, problem-solving, and a focus on enhancing system efficiencies and reducing costs from the client's perspective. With my academic and professional background, I am well-equipped to tackle the challenges and complexities of data analysis in the industry.

How has your experience as a business consultant impacted your role as an entrepreneur?

Through my previous industry experiences, I have gained a deep understanding of operational processes, emerging trends, and challenges within the field. This knowledge has allowed me to identify new opportunities, enhance my strategic thinking, and quickly adapt to changes. I have also incorporated valuable practices from Western standards into my work, which is essential in the diverse environment of the ITeS industry in India.

As an entrepreneur, I have taken on various responsibilities, including operations, finance, marketing, sales, human resources, branding, and visibility. Drawing from my background in reputable organizations like the Big 4 and BFSI, I have developed the adaptability required for this role.

While industry insights and skills like leadership, team management, and financial acumen are beneficial, they are not necessary prerequisites for entrepreneurship. Many successful business leaders have started ventures without prior corporate experience. However, I recognize the responsibility I have towards my team, as their financial stability and professional growth rely on me. Entrepreneurship requires ambition, unwavering commitment, and a willingness to learn and adapt in the face of challenges. It is a demanding yet fulfilling path to pursue.

What motivated you to Co-found PREDIQT? Tell us about the underlying idea behind the venture and its key areas of specialization.

PREDIQT was founded with the purpose of exploring diverse interests and addressing minor challenges by leveraging our talents and skills. Our company specializes in data processing, reengineering processes through data utilization, and integrating artificial intelligence to improve efficiency. With 5 years of experience, PREDIQT has become a prominent global service provider, consistently delivering exceptional outcomes to clients in various industries. We have collaborated with numerous Fortune 100 organizations worldwide, facilitated by our offshore service centers in multiple regions. Our expertise lies in FAO & Fintech, HRO, Healthcare & Health Tech, and Consumer Intelligence & Experience. We excel in establishing, operating, and transferring services, which involves acquiring skills, providing training, and delivering exceptional solutions. Ultimately, our goal at PREDIQT is to provide businesses with intelligent insights and quantitative analysis, empowering them to make well-informed decisions.

Can you describe your top professional achievements and your recipe for success?

Choosing to work in Kolkata despite the issue of brain drain has been a rewarding and successful decision for me. Establishing my IT company, PREDIQT, required dedication, focus, and determination. We now have a team of over 100 satisfied members, with a low attrition rate of less than 5 percent. Even during the pandemic, we prioritized retaining our employees, which was crucial for our startup.

My personal mantra for success is ART - Adaptability, Relationships, and Trustworthiness. Adaptability allows for growth and resilience, while building strong relationships opens doors to opportunities and fosters fulfillment. Trust is essential for fostering loyalty and promoting fruitful collaboration, leading to long-term success. At PREDIQT, we aim to create pathways for young talent, fostering an environment that encourages innovation and entrepreneurship.

How do you foresee the evolution of business analytics going forward? Which industry trends will be the most impactful in the near future?

Cloud-based analytics is projected to grow in popularity due to its scalability, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness. Industry-specific solutions tailored for various sectors such as banking, retail, hospitality, and healthcare will also see an increase. The integration of analytics into core business processes will lead to the use of simpler tools for extracting valuable insights. The combination of artificial intelligence (AI) and the metaverse will have a transformative impact on entertainment and gaming, while data privacy and security will become prominent concerns. Moreover, data analytics will expand into new sectors like agriculture, transportation, and energy, and AI/ML and the metaverse will have a pervasive presence in our daily lives. The demand for real-time data will rise alongside the progress of quantum computing, enabling more precise predictive analytics. PREDIQT aims to be a significant player in this evolving landscape.
