Sintra Naturals: Award Winning Plastic Free - Clean Skin Care Brand

Beauty products often brim with harmful chemicals and synthetics. Even though they claim to enhance skin's natural beauty, there's nothing natural about most of the skincare products. Thankfully, with all the zero waste products hitting the shelves these days, there's a host of zero waste, plastic-free skincare brands that provide a supple and sustainable glow, organically. One such beauty brand is Hyderabad based, Sintra Naturals. Sintra Naturals is a sustainable company that creates products that are effective, nature-friendly, and suitable for all-skin types, even sensitive skin. "From soaps to body butters, we are proud to offer you a range of products that will never fail in soothing and nourishing your tired skin with no harm to the environment or us. All our products are certified by European cosmetic safety standards," says Geethika Ghanta, Founder of Sintra Naturals.

Speaking about the foundational journey of the company, Geethika said that while she was growing up, her father would not allow them to use plastic bags. "He never allowed bringing back plastic bags from stores, we would carry our own bags when we went shopping," adds Geethika. She grew close to nature, and spent a large part of our childhood alongside nature whether it be gardening or nurturing wild animals like squirrels and sparrows and even bats and that, according to her, instilled in her the `need to love and respect nature'. Geethika was also an avid reader and she'd experiment with home ingredients to create her own skin care products. As far as her education is concerned, she completed her degree in law and then pursued MBA. "I was a part of the rat race in the corporate world for 10 years," she adds. However, after she had her first child, she decided to leave her full-time job. That was when she again started experimenting to create her own soaps and baby products. Ten years later, after much pressure from her friends and family, she decided to start the company and Sintra Naturals was born in 2020. Even though it has only been a year since its establishment, the company has received huge accolades globally winning various awards.

“Our aim is to continually grow and establish ourselves as a plastic free and clean beau-ty brand with emphasis on circular economy and zero waste..”

Rekha, a customer who has been using the soaps by Sintra, said, "I have been using the Sintra natural soaps for a couple of months and I find them simply amazing and a blessing to my skin. My skin is very sensitive and after using Rose skin food and Lavender skin food, my skin feels so moist. I love these products and am willing to continue using natural chemical free products of sintra." Another customer, appreciating the shampoo bar by Sintra said, "This is the first time I am using a shampoo bar and it is really awesome. It is mild and I felt my hair is smooth and silky. Highly recommend as it has no harsh chemicals." Sintra Naturals found its way into the Indian market only in November of last year, but looking at the response, it is clear that the brand is here to stay.

SIntra, like its name suggests is a combination of "old cum new cum future", and a pioneer brand in the field of plastic free, clean cosmetics. Its aim is to break the glass ceiling saturated by plastic products and introduce beauty with sustainability. Every product, from its ingredients to final packaging is created, plastic-free. Going forward, the company plans to launch its organic baby products packaged with animated story books. "We want to educate the young ones about the importance of sustainability with stories filled with animated characters explaining the concept of recycling and eco friendly living ," adds Geethika. Also, the company plans to venture into plastic-free lifestyle products by UPCY-CLING one of our pioneer launch is our upcycled canvas wash bags made from landfill rescue materials. "Our aim is to continually grow and establish ourselves as a plastic free and clean beauty brand with emphasis on circular economy," concludes Geethika.
