Take us through your early educational journey. Tell us about some of the early influences that shaped the trajectory of your life.

During my early educational journey, I pursued my Master's degree from Symbiosis University, which laid a solid foundation for my future endeavors. As I entered the corporate world, I embraced a growth mindset and a thirst for knowledge in every role I undertook. Although I didn't always have a clear vision of my desired industry or career path, it was through exploring different sectors

and seizing diverse opportunities that I discovered my passion for the tech and SaaS domain. I believe that my unwavering curiosity and willingness to embrace new experiences have been instrumental in shaping my trajectory thus far.

Introduce us to Leegality. Tell us about the dif­ferent responsibilities you shoulder as the As­sociate Director of Leegality.

Leegality is a document infrastructure platform that ad­dresses various operational, compliance, legal and oth­er challenges associated with signing, stamping, and managing paperwork for businesses. As a SaaS solution, Leegality offers a fast, flexible, convenient, and legally compliant way to digitize this ‘paperwork’ across organi­zations; thereby helping companies digitally transform into a paperless journey.

Transitioning from a sales background, I embraced the opportunity to pivot into a strategy and business op­erations role at Leegality. Currently, I lead the Business Excellence team here, which focuses on strengthening and developing the company’s business processes for revenue generation, enhancing performance and creat­ing value organization-wide by implementing effective strategies and optimizing operational efficiency.

What defines your leadership style? Also, what has been your success mantra?

My leadership style is defined by fostering an open and inclusive team environment. I believe in the power of feedback and encourage my team members to provide and receive feedback openly. As a leader, I prioritize coaching and learning from each other, recognizing that growth happens both individually and as an organization when we work together. Creating a culture of open communication and leveraging everyone's strengths is key to achieving the best outcomes. I value addressing gaps, identifying areas for improvement, and cultivating a welcoming atmosphere where continuous development is embraced by all.

In your opinion how important is it for professionals today to stay aligned with industry trends? What steps do you take to keep yourself updated?

Staying aligned with industry trends is of utmost importance for professionals in today's fast-paced world. As a firm believer in being category creators, I understand the significance of staying ahead in the game. In my role, research and analysis are integral to my daily work, enabling me to stay updated with market dynamics, anticipate problem statements, and develop solutions accordingly. Working in the legal tech space, it is crucial to adapt to changing regulations and stay proactive. Hence, prioritizing regular internal training sessions, we remain well-informed about evolving industry trends, customer needs, and regulatory requirements, and strive to stay at the forefront of our industry and deliver innovative solutions to our clients.

Tell us about some key business lessons you learned throughout your industry experience.

Through my industry experience in sales and strategy, I have learned valuable business lessons that are universally applicable and have helped shaped my approach to business. Firstly, in today's rapidly changing business landscape, adaptability is crucial. Hence, be adaptable to change and stress on customer-centricity to drive success, stay competitive, and thrive. Second, embrace fearlessness and learn from failures, as experiencing failures are a natural part of the process. Embracing these challenges leads to valuable learning experiences and paves the way for the development of effective strategies and innovative ideas.

What are some of the most critical challenges you encounter in your current role? What steps do you undertake to overcome them?

When starting with my current role, which is quite dynamic in nature, I encountered some critical challenges that required careful navigation. One such challenge was people management. Each individual is unique, and understanding their needs and working styles was crucial for building a successful team and driving the company forward. Investing in the growth and development of team members has been a rewarding aspect of my role as a manager, and has substantially contributed to productivity within the organization as well. Another significant challenge was the absence of a pre-established foundation or prior knowledge when transitioning from Sales to Business Excellence. So I adapted to this changing environment, involving myself into continuous learning, gaining experience through observation, and research; I strive to achieve success in my current role.

Advice for aspiring women leaders and entrepreneurs- My advice to aspiring women leaders and entrepreneurs is to embark on a journey of self-discovery. Without getting caught up in the race of life, take the time to understand yourself, your strengths and weaknesses, and be honest with yourself. Once you have discovered your passion, pursue it wholeheartedly. Remain open-minded and receptive to new learning, as they will contribute to your growth and success.
