Take Us Through Your Early Educational Journey And Prior Industrial Experience. What Motivated You To Foray Into The Field Of Interior Design?

My design journey began at a much later age. I was honing my art skills by sketching still objects. Painting and calligraphy were equally challenging for me. My creative streak has always led me to admire things that are beautiful and synonymous with nature. I forayed into designing circa 2017, when I decided to pursue a professional design education at the Pearl Academy of Design, Noida. I chose to hone my skills in interior design and styling.

I enjoy sketching, planning, designing, combining materials and colours, visualising and assisting others in realising their dreams and visions. With my creativity, styling vibe, and passion, I hope to be able to serve the consumers with simple, affordable, pragmatic, visually pleasing designs that are contemporary and in accordance with space, atmosphere, theme, concept, need, and age parameters.

What Are The Various Roles And Responsibilities That You Currently Shoulder At Designgatha? What Are Some Of The Most Pressing Challenges That You Face As An Entrepreneur? How Do You Successfully Overcome Them?

DesignGatha was founded by me. With the support of my teammates, I think, plan, and strategize. The pandemic has presented several challenges; additionally, people do not trust startups; instead, they want to go for established brands. Clients have the misconception that design firms are very expensive. Interior design is an unorganised sector; despite a rise in income for the middle-class, they have little knowledge of design. People are also hesitant to spend money on visual detailing, despite its benefits; they prefer to consult books or conduct online searches for designs; and they do not hesitate to hire a local contractor to complete their work, who usually do not have style sense and experience.

We are also skilled at mixing contemporary and traditional styles while keeping the functional aspect in mind. What Are Some Of The Most Significant Milestones That You Have Achieved So Far In Your Entrepreneurial Journey? What Has Been The Driving Force Behind Your Success As An Interior Designer?

Our company was featured in Siliconindia Digital Magazine– Women Start Ups 2021. DesignGatha is a startup, thus we have a lot of milestones to achieve. Whatever work we've done so far, we're grateful that people believe in us, and that our work reflects our values and commitments.

I believe in myself, my creative thought process, and ideation that drives me towards success. We keep ourselves up to date by attending design fairs and other interior-related exhibitions; we also pocess a great vendor network.

What Would Be Your Advice Be For Women And Girls Who Aspire To Become Business Leaders And Entrepreneurs?

Success and failure are intimately connected; without hurdles, one cannot achieve success. I would advise women to be prepared to confront a plethora of challenges. Have faith and trust in yourself and your work. People's faith in you and your family's support will be your most powerful assets as you move forward. Believe in yourself and support your team; know your USP and know what your competitors are doing.
