But the journey of Nisha Kanojiya Dhawan shows that ‘There is a man behind any woman’s success as well.’ Apparently, the most important factors for one to become successful are vision, passion and strong support to take action. Her partner Anil was that support system; an important part of the success path she has carved today. Hailing from a modest family setting, this husband-and-wife duo confronted a world of challenges before making a mark in the Edtech industry. Beyond their passion to impact millions of lives through education, they both stood for each other through the thick and thin and were raised as change-makers.

In a bigger perspective, education and technology have no gender! Nisha is proving this by leveraging her analytical knowledge and corporate expertise to transform the Edtech sector. While many speak about the dominance of men in Edtech and STEM, Nisha and Anil are manifesting that ‘together is always better.’ Strong tech prowess, multifaceted business acumen, marketing & branding mastery; what a perfect combination the team brings together!

To inspire several other women to grow and outshine as stars in every walk of their life, we bring to you the journey of Nisha. Below are the excerpts from the interview.

What Prompted The Establishment Of The Analytics Training Hub? What Was The Motto Behind It?

We all must have heard the phrase ‘Evolve or You’ll Be Left Behind’! This powerful phrase holds aptly true for every sector including education as well. Since the age of British reigns, we have been indulged in an education system where the Primary curriculum prepares you for the Secondary, the Secondary prepares you for Higher Studies; all of it to finally a job. But do all of us get a job that’s on-demand and pays well too, or do we all grab our most awaited promotions at the office?

With the frantic revolution in technological advancements and new business practices, the skills that were required to succeed earlier are not the same as those that are relevant now and will not be the same for tomorrow as well. People will have to become lifelong learners to remain competitive in the workplace. We came forward to mitigate the existing menace and launched Analytics Training Hub to offer full-fledged practical training in Data Analytics and Business Intelligence to reskill and upskill the candidates and make them the best fit for the job role.

Analytics Training Hub was founded to help people understand how analytics can reshape their careers. The problem statement was very clear. We wanted to move to a level of impacting the millions of lives by building a one-stop platform that provides industrial training in data visualisation, data analytical & data science tools. While being a hub that provides quality learning for professionals, we wanted to be a space where they can showcase their skillset as well.

Take us through your early educational journey and the prior industry experience that you bring to the table. What were the challenges you faced as you entered into business? Anil:

 "Hard work beats talent when talent does not work hard!" That best defines Nisha’s journey. She’s one of the strongest people, I have ever seen. Losing her parents at a very young age made her take up several responsibilities and lead from the front. She did everything possible to prove her potential in every role she assumed. Nisha: My journey in Data Analysis and Management happened because it was destined. Neither did I pass out from a fancy school, nor my graduation was in technology, but I became a data analyst out of opportunities and experiences that I gained during my early career. Later, I got to work forGoogle as a Data Analyst as well. I never thought of being a businesswoman, I always wanted to be a professional. After we were blessed with a baby boy, my health demanded rest. Subsequently, I decided to involve myself in the business along with my husband.

What was the most crucial challenge you faced while starting the business? Although we associated our brand with a Private Ltd. Company in 2019, our business journey was started in mid 2012. That is when the market was just recovering from a recession and Indians didn’t have much idea about data analytics tools. Gradually people started approaching us for help. Since then there has been no turning back. Today, the most crucial challenge is hiring the right talent.

We believe in giving opportunities to young talents, regardless of educational background, but often these youngsters are not stable and accountable. Even if there are such responsible candidates, it’s difficult to attract them to join a startup. However, we have built strategies to bring like-minded people together, and we have grown at par with some of the pioneers in the market.

What are the various roles & responsibilities that you currently shoulder at Analytics Training Hub?

Analytics is my forte, and I leverage my expertise to design courses and formulate operational strategies. Since the beginning, I have also been focusing on marketing and branding.

What are some important features and expertise a business leader should have?

Leadership styles and approaches often vary widely across organization sizes, industries and sectors. However, a few common traits that every leader must uphold and every organization should follow are honesty, loyalty, integrity, accountability, innovation, and simplicity.
