Give Us Brief Details About Your Educational And Professional Background. Also, Explain About Your Role At Know Your Dentist And How Are You Leveraging The Best Of These Elements Across Your Company’s Operations?

After completing my graduation in dentistry (Bachelor of Dental Surgery BDS) from Kothiwal Dental College I perused Diploma in Oral Laser Application from Rangoonwala Dental College, followed by a Mastership in Oral Lasers from Vienna Universityunder the European Society of Oral Laser Applications. I also attended certificate courses in Cosmetic Dentistry and most recently I completed my Fellowship in Contemporary Endodontics from D Y Patil University. At Know Your Dentist I am working as the Chief Consultant with 6 Dental Surgeons in my team, where I specially take care of the routine OPD services and I also serve as the Specialist Laser Dentist and Micro-endodontist. With the help of my clinical experiences and strong educational background, I am able to diagnose almost all sought of cases I come across and frame a comprehensive treatment plan for the same.

What Inspired You To Incept Know Your Dentist? Brief Us About Various Offerings Of Your Clinic With Key Highlight On Flagship Offering?

My vision of adding to the patient’s understanding and factual knowledge about various oral, dental and craniofacial diseases and not just blindly treating them had driven me to establish my unique practice. According to me, a Dentist has a bag full of knowledge and treatments to offer which can improve quality of life to the next level but unfortunately remains unexplored hence the name Know Your Dentist. At Know your Dentist we offer all sought of treatment options for various Oral, Dental and Craniofacial disorders under one roof. Our focus remains on comprehensive treatment planning with out of the box thinking which we call ‘Dentistry Beyond Teeth’ to not only cater topatient’s dental need but also deal with systemic diseases leading in oral and dental complications and vice versa.

In Your Professional Journey So Far, Which Are The Milestones That Bestowed Your Utmost Satisfactionboth As An Individual And As A Trainer?

In my professional journey, I was blessed to get an opportunity to work with the most eminent dental professionals of the country like Dr H S Saxena, Dr C P John, Dr Anil Shah, Dr Naresh Thukral, Dr Vivek Hedge and many more with whom learning Dentistry was most satisfying and motivated me to train my juniors and team members in a similar way. Having been awarded as the fellow of the year at D Y Patil University was another point of time in my professional journey which gave me great satisfaction and self-confidence. I felt overwhelmed when India Health Awards 2018 and Dental Divas 2020 nominated and felicitated me with the Most Preferred and Passionate Dentist of the Year respectively.

What Advice Would You Like To Give To The Upcoming Generation In India And What Would Tell Them To Expect In Their Journey?

Persistence, dedication and patience along with passion towards your profession is the key to a successful journey in my belief with acceptance towards challenges and failure as the backbone. I feel everyone should try to be a giver more than a receiver in order to make our profession ever-growing.

Dr. Payal Agarwal has got over a decade of expertise and experience in dental surgery. She is also part of some of the most prestigious dental organizations such as the European Society of Oral Laser Applications (ESOLA) and Indian Dental Association (IDA). She constantly strives to improve herself and learn new things which have been a catalyst behind her growth both as a person and as an entrepreneur.
