Walk us through your academic background and the preceding industry involvement that you bring to the forefront.

My educational journey commenced at the esteemed Modern School Barakhamba Road, where I pursued studies up until 12th-grade education. Modern School's distinctive diversity enhances its appeal. Following this phase, I embarked on higher education at Lady Shri Ram College for Women (LSR), specializing in history honours. LSR proved to be an engrossing institution, and my study of history provided me with a captivating perspective to interpret the world. I am grateful for the opportunities that LSR extended to me. Subsequently, I pursued a master’s degree in international journalism at Cardiff University, an enriching program that propelled my career in international journalism and provided exposure that elevated both my current role and my company to global standards. This trajectory led me to a year and a half at India Today, affording me invaluable industry experience and deep insights into the influence of the media. Presently, I proudly boast 12 years of unwavering dedication to DDP, during which I have witnessed its remarkable progression through numerous challenges.

The genesis of this venture was rooted in a forward-looking vision aimed at crafting content that deeply resonates with readers. At its essence, DDP Publications embarks on a mission to furnish top-notch, captivating, and enlightening content that traverses various platforms.

As the Director at DDP Publications, I shoulder a multitude of responsibilities crucial to the company's success and expansion. These include crafting and executing the strategic vision, leading and managing a skilled team, overseeing content creation, nurturing partnerships, and maintaining the brand's identity. Innovation remains a priority, adapting to trends and exploring fresh content delivery methods.

To drive growth, I emphasize expanding our digital presence, diversifying content for broader audiences, exploring new markets, enhancing user experience through technology, and fostering a culture of learning. These strategies aim to keep DDP Publications at the forefront of the industry, ensuring its continual prosperity in a dynamic landscape.

In your opinion what are some of the most critical challenges you encounter in your current role? What steps do you undertake to overcome these roadblocks?

In my current role, I face several critical challenges such as gender bias and stereotypes, aditionally, instances of objectification and unequal treatment in the workplace troubled me deeply. Balancing a high-responsibility role with personal commitments poses another challenge. This is particularly daunting in a culture where traditional gender roles persist, affecting work-life balance.

To overcome these roadblocks, I have undertaken several steps. Skill development is paramount – I continuously refine my skills and knowledge, challenging biases through expertise. Redefining leadership beyond traditional gender roles and embracing a style aligned with strengths is essential. Building confidence and resilience are vital in overcoming setbacks and biases.

By addressing these challenges proactively and fostering a supportive environment, I aim to pave the way for more women to excel in leadership roles and contribute to gender equality in India.

Tell us about the top three professional milestones you have achieved over the years?

My top three remarkable milestones include, firsts, after completing my master's in international journalism at Cardiff University, landing a role at India Today magazine marked my entry into the field, bringing immense personal value and a sense of achievement. The publication of my by-line filled me with pride and excitement, symbolizing the beginning of my journalism career.

Second, the launch of TravelTV.News in 2013 was a significant memory. Third, in 2019, being nominated as a jury member for the International Travel and Tourism Awards in London was a remarkable achievement. This acknowledgment validated my career's trajectory, offering the privilege to assess global travel and tourism excellence. This recognition highlighted my impactful contributions to the industry.

Beyond these standout moments, my journey has been punctuated by instances of team success during challenging periods, underlining the importance of collaboration and resilience, especially amid the pandemic.

What has been your formula for success as a business leader?

As a business leader, achieving success involves integrating various principles into a coherent strategy.
