Anmol Jain: A Young Image Consultant Empowering People To Become Better Versions Of Themselves

Anmol Jain
Founder & Chief Consulta, Mysa Consultation

Today's world is more focused on image and visual style than ever before. In a world of highly competent and skilled people, it is the personal brand and image that can distinguish oneself and lend them an extra edge. Image enhancement and personal branding are “feel good” investments for oneself.  It aids in personal, professional, and social development believes Anmol Jain who have mastered the art and science of image management and personal branding.

Anmol, is an internationally certified image consultant and founder of Mysa Consultation where she assists her clients in evolving by maximizing their true potential. She is passionate about helping people in becoming the best versions of themselves, and her strength is her ability to work effectively with clients and meet their needs successfully.

In an in-depth interview with the Women Entrepreneur team Anmol speaks about how the idea of assisting individuals in becoming the best version of themselves piqued her interest and drove her to pursue Image consultancy as a career choice.

Introduce us to Mysa consultation. What is the underlying philosophy of the firm?

Mysa consultation was founded to help people create a winning image and powerful personal brand.  Such an image and personal brand that is true to their personality, and is appropriate for the role and occasions in their lives.

Mysa's mantra which is also its tagline is “Embrace .Empower. Evolve.” At Mysa Consultation, we believe in embracing people with all their strengths and flaws. We empower them with confidence and a personality that is authentic to them, and we help them evolve to reach their full potential.

We believe that in today's world, where everyone is highly qualified and skilled, it is their personal brand and image that distinguishes them. When I work with clients, I strive to help them become better versions of themselves and to help them improve personally, professionally, and socially. My main goal is to make people feel beautiful on the inside as much as the outside.

Take us through your early educational journey and prior industry experience. What factors led you towards the image consulting industry?

I graduated in B.Com(Hons.) from Delhi University and went on to do post graduation in Human resource management from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management studies, I am certified as soft skill trainer and internationally certified image consultant under the curriculum of Conselle Institute of Image Management, USA, founded by Judith Rasband. I've also completed a branding diploma. My desire to help people as well as my passion for creativity, design, and style, led me to pursue image consulting as a career.

What prompted you to take up entrepreneurship and create an image consulting firm? What are some critical business lessons that you have learnt in your entrepreneurial journey so far?

I'd always wanted to be an entrepreneur, but I wasn't sure which field to pursue. I am a creative person who likes to work in fields that are creative, artistic, and imaginative. Alongside doing my degree, I researched all of the creative career options and attended a variety of workshops in order to figure out what my calling was. During this time, I learned about image consultation and was fascinated by the concept of helping people become better and improving their lives. I eventually chanced upon image consultation course and enrolled for it. Early days of coaching were enough to convince me that this would be the career path for me. Since that day I had a vision for Mysa Consultation.

“You must prioritize consistency over perfection. It is far more important to be consistent and to do what you love with the same dedication and passion every day than to strive for perfection”

The most important business lessons I have learned as an entrepreneur is that you must wear many hats. Even if you love your profession, there will be tasks that you do not enjoy doing but are necessary for the success of your business, and you must do them.

You must prioritize consistency over perfection. It is far more important to be consistent and to do what you love with the same dedication and passion every day than to strive for perfection.

I learned to be open to learning new things and to keep up with new information.

Tell us about various services and the approach that is followed at Mysa consultations. How would you say the industry has evolved over the past few years?

Mysa consultation offers a wide range of services, the first of which are image management and personal branding. We also provide styling, etiquette training, and personal shopping. We also customize sessions to the specific needs of our clients.

My strength is meeting the needs of my clients effectively and successfully. With new clients, I first make them feel at ease and try to understand their needs in order to create a genuine bond so that they can open up and be more candid in the session, allowing us to serve them better.

Branding has evolved significantly over the years; previously, it was thought to be something required only by celebrities or people in the media. However, it is required for anyone who wishes to distinguish themselves, establish their identity, and achieve success in their respective field. Social media has made it easier to develop one's personal brand.

As a busy business leader how do you strike a balance between your professional and personal life? What would your advice be to young women aspiring to foray into the field of image consulting as entrepreneurs?

I consider myself fortunate to have a family that is both supportive and understanding. So juggling my work life and personal life isn't much of a challenge for me. I accomplish this by planning ahead of time and prioritizing accordingly; sometimes family comes first, and other times work comes first.

When I'm not working, I like to listen to music and spend time with my friends and family.

One will always have apprehensions and doubts about oneself when starting out, but working on it consistently and believing in oneself is the way to go. This is what I have done and what I advise others to do as well: follow your heart and passion. Your rewards come from the success and happiness of your clients. We act as a catalyst for change in their lives, which is what makes image consulting so unique.
