Enterprise Application Software, IT Consulting Services, Business Intelligence Services and Cloud Computing are some of the different market categories for IT services overall. Cloud Computing, which involves using remote servers and networks to manage and process data, is the market category that is growing the fastest. In the international IT business, the market for IT services is substantial and expanding. In an exclusive interview with Women Entrepreneur magazine, Amrita Agrawal walks us through her professional journey along with the unique traits of the company.

What noteworthy qualities of your experience as a business leader do you treasure?

When Covid-19 brought the world to its knees, I was just beginning to get comfortable in a leadership position. The ability to adapt to change and challenges while continuing to advance is, in my opinion, the most important skill I have already learned as a leader. It is crucial for us to keep our ears to the ground since technology is by its very nature a dynamic sector. Having said that, I think it is equally crucial to have empathy for every player in our ecosystem, from our staff to our clients and vendors, as it is the synergy that they all bring to the table that ultimately defines our growth.

Tell us about your early educational experience and the range of industries you have worked in.

I earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Loreto College (University of Calcutta) after completing my class XII in commerce. I realised early on that working is the best learning experience anyone can have so I decided to work for a year to obtain some industry insights. This helped me get a couple of internships at media outlets in New Delhi. My interest in communications and its potential to affect enterprises was aroused by it. I applied to the Xavier Institute of Communication, Mumbai, where I received my Post Graduate degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communications. The course made me realize how crucial it is to understand the other side of the company, what clients anticipate from an agency, and the difficulties that could present themselves at any time, even for the largest names in the field. It was nothing short of extraordinary working with MSLGROUP, a global full-service communications firm. I have worked with some of the most well-known companies in business, so I am well aware of the effect even the smallest mistakes can have on a brand. This experience has taught me to be careful about how my team and I conduct ourselves. Therefore, quality control and client satisfaction are our top strengths since we never compromise on either.

What duties do you perform in your capacity as director of classic consultants?

Five years ago, I started working with my father, and I realized right away that I wanted to build on and broaden the foundation he had already laid. I don't limit myself at this point by establishing boundaries for my tasks and KRAs because I'm in mission mode. I take part in all activities, both routine and out-ofthe- box.

Describe some of the most important difficulties you encounter in your role as a business leader. How do you successfully navigate around these challenges?

Since Southern India has long been the centre of the IT industry, we have served the entire nation as well as certain international clients remotely from our office in Kolkata, which is unheard of. We sometimes have to overcome an underlying unconscious bias because we are frequently asked the same question twice. However, since we are personally involved in every business and have undisputed domain knowledge, we are able to reassure our clients. Our nimbleness, adaptability, and proactiveness have enabled us to guarantee a success rate of one hundred percent for any ERP implementation.

What are some of the most important milestones you have reached in your professional career, in your opinion? What motivating factor has led to your success as a business leader?

We were successful in joining the Microsoft Partner Network approximately three years ago, and we are currently putting Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP into practice for a client. We have developed three distinct verticals where we provide our in-house, specially adapted ERP system to MSMEs. We create, implement, and manage this from beginning to end. For the medium-to-large business segment, we deploy and support Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP. We also provide data analytics utilizing business intelligence (BI) technologies, interpreting our clients' data into insightful dynamic visualizations that help them make wise decisions.

"We do not stop at providing software; we strive to build relationships, start conversations & provide solutions"

With the dynamism in the IT industry, it is important to keep speed and educate clients to unlearn and relearn the opportunity which technology brings to make life simpler. Making life easier for our clients is what drives me. Happy clients are my biggest motivator to outperform our last best.

What do you envision for the near future in terms of classic consultants' expansion? How do you maintain your business current with market trends?

I envision our business growing into one of the top solution providers in the IT sector without sacrificing the calibre of our services. We are certain that we offer exceptional products and services available. I am also acutely aware of the fact that my father founded this business in the 1980s, a time when technology was still advancing in India. Since then, this area has changed significantly and has continued to do so. Therefore, in my eyes, my father continues to be a visionary who refuses to stop learning and being up to date with contemporary business trends. We want to maintain that philosophy as part of our corporate culture because it distinguishes us as a major participant in this cutthroat market.

What tips would you provide to young women and girls who hope to one day lead businesses and start their own businesses, drawing on your experience as a business leader?

I'd simply add that leadership is not defined by your gender. What makes you unique is your talent, dedication to excel, and capacity to reach for the stars while remaining grounded. And most crucially, the actual measure of your leadership is how well your team runs even when you are not around.
