Women over the age of 41 are More Active in Crypto Trading than Men in India: Report

By: WE Staff | Wednesday, 21 December 2022

According to a study published, women over the age of 41 in India traded more crypto assets in 2022 than males in the same age bracket. In comparison to men, women traded more Blue chip tokens, it was added.

According to the year-end report from cryptocurrency exchange WazirX, "Men, on the other hand, invested in meme tokens, gaming tokens, etc., aside from blue chip tokens."

The majority of cryptocurrency trades on the platform were made by women from West Bengal, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh.

Men were more involved in cryptocurrency trading than women in the age groups of 18 to 26 and 26 to 40.

Men between the ages of 18 and 26 were the most active of them.

The report further stated that during the Indian holiday season, gift cards worth Rs 1.1 million were bought on the cryptocurrency market WazirX. The majority of these cards were only purchased for Diwali. The business has introduced these cards so that customers could send each other WRX tokens in advance of the festivities.

The source added, "For Diwali, we also offered 'Shagun' for consumers who bought gift cards for their loved ones.

The platforms with the most users in 2023 will be those that can guarantee financial security and openness.

It also added ""With some major mishaps in the Crypto ecosystem in the form of the Terra crash and FTX fiasco, users are wary of their funds. They will have second thoughts while investing in digital currencies. Platforms that have the potential to provide security and trust with complete transparency will witness more users preferring them over others."

"With India's G20 presidency, the world is waiting for regulatory clarity that will impact one of the largest user bases of Crypto," WazirX stated.
