WhatsApp Partners With 5 Indian Women Artists To Launch Payment Sticker Packs

Five celebrated Indian women artists in collaboration with WhatsApp develops WhatsApp Payment sticker packs. The stickers covey the emotions of care, blessing, love, gratitude and joy with the help of animated illustrations. The money transfer through WhatsApp, which is an easy and fast process, will be accompanied by stickers. The sticker packs glorify the women artists and the Indian culture.

Anjali Mehta has made the WhatsApp Payments sticker pack, ‘Paayaur Payments’, which depicts the affection behind payments. ‘Pay OK Please’ has been developed by Anuja Pothireddy, a sticker pack that depicts the stories of pleasant experiences around payments.

‘Pay Aadha or Zyaada’ is Neethi’s developed sticker pack, which conveys the fun behind using WhatsApp Payments. ‘Sabse Bada Rupaiya’ has been developed by Osheen Silva, which has been created around the popular soundtrack in India. Mira Felicia Malhotra developed the ‘Apna Sapna Money’ sticker pack.

Upon the launch of new WhatsApp stickers for Payment, Director of Payments on WhatsApp India, Manesh Mahatme says, “We believe that there’s a story behind every payment. Our aim is to onboard the next 500mn to the digital payments ecosystem and drive financial inclusion at scale. hence, in line with our continuous endeavour to make sending money relatable and relevant for every user, we have collaborated with 5 accomplished women artists, rooted in India’s evolving culture, to bring alive some of the popular phrases and societal nuances that express payments experiences in a fun and compelling way.”

WhatsApp Payments allows users to send and receive money directly from their bank accounts via UPI.
