Vivo India announces the launch of Project 'vivo KanyaGyaan', a nationwide initiative aimed at empowering women in STEM. The project addresses the gender gap in STEM fields, particularly for young women from underserved communities, by providing access to opportunities and support. It comes in response to the rising demand for skilled professionals in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

The program provides scholarships, mentorship, skill development, and industry exposure to young women from underserved communities. Impacting 150 women, with over 60 percent from low-income families, it breaks financial and societal barriers. By supporting first-generation graduates, vivo is creating a more diverse STEM workforce and driving social progress.

Geetaj Channana, Head of Corporate Strategy at vivo India, said, "Empowering young women in STEM is not just an initiative, but a crucial step for real progress. With the ‘vivo KanyaGyaan’ initiative, we are breaking barriers by offering education, mentorship, and opportunities to help them shape their own futures."

"Our Women’s Day campaign film embodies this spirit through the metaphor of ‘carrying their own chairs,’ symbolizing determination and self-empowerment. With this, we aim to inspire a broader movement toward empowerment and action in STEM."

Vivo has launched a digital campaign to highlight the need for a diverse STEM workforce. It emphasizes that excluding women means losing half of the country's scientific potential. The campaign showcases the struggles and aspirations of young women in STEM, stressing the importance of supporting them to shape a brighter future for themselves and the nation.

Created by FCB India, the campaign film follows young women from across India on their journeys to pursue careers in STEM. Using the metaphor of carrying their own chairs as a symbol of determination, it highlights their challenges and aspirations. These women, set to graduate with placements in top companies, serve as an inspiration to others.

Ashima Mehra, CEO of FCB India, said, "When a woman receives the support she deserves, nothing can stop her from achieving her goals. ‘vivo KanyaGyaan’ is a testament to that. A world where women are empowered in STEM is one where everyone benefits. It’s not just about providing opportunities—it’s about unlocking potential, driving innovation, and tackling global challenges. This campaign reminds us that by lifting women, we create a brighter, better future for all."
