Veeam Software India, a pioneer in modern data protection, and Women in Cloud (WIC) are thrilled to announce their cooperation to further inclusion and diversity in the cloud data management industry. WIC and Veeam India will collaborate through this relationship to advance the intellectual growth of women, expand influence in cloud data management, and increase worker capacity through micro-credentialing.
Women hold just 26% of computer occupations in India, according to current data, and they are much less prevalent in the fields of cloud data management and security. By building a more inclusive and varied environment for cloud data management in India, WIC and Veeam India are dedicated to changing this.
President and co-founder of Women in Cloud Chaitra Vedullapalli stated, "We are happy to join with Veeam India to foster diversity and inclusion in the field of cloud data management. "At Women in Cloud, we believe that diversity fosters creativity and that building a more varied and inclusive workplace environment is essential to realising the full potential of our team. By collaborating with Veeam India, we can promote innovation that opens up economic access and advantages for everyone while assisting in levelling the playing field for women and marginalised groups in cloud data management.”
The collaboration between WIC and Veeam India will centre on three main areas:
- increasing workforce capacity by collaborating with universities and cloud hyperscalers to offer micro-credentialing options
- gaining influence in the cloud data management space through thought leadership projects that enhance ESG and DEI narratives
- encouraging women's intellectual growth through executive professional development programmes with access to role models
"At Veeam India and SAARC Regions, we are steadfastly committed to promoting an atmosphere of diversity and inclusion to inspire innovation and build a better future for everyone”. According to Kushagra Sharma, Director of Marketing for Veeam India and SAARC Regions, our cooperation with Women in Cloud is a key step towards creating a more inclusive and varied cloud data management ecosystem in India. “Together, we're dedicated to fostering opportunities for women in technology, upskilling over 1000 women in FY23, and fostering fairness and inclusion at work. We are certain that we can develop a more inventive industry for everyone if we respect the particular requirements, viewpoints, and involvement of every one of our employees.”
"We are thrilled to join up with Women in Cloud to solve the important need for financial inclusion among today's women," continued Nisha Tijare, Head of Inside Sales at Veeam India and SAARC Regions. “We foresee a more diverse and forward-thinking IT sector for everybody by pooling our resources and cooperating. We at Veeam India are committed to actively advancing inclusion, equity, and diversity. One of the many actions we are taking to guarantee a better future for women in computing is our engagement with Women in Cloud.”
