Telangana Sets to Exhibit Women Entrepreneurs and Start-ups at India Pavilion EXPO2020 Dubai

Telangana will exhibit the accomplishments and capability of its women entrepreneurs and start-ups at India Pavilion EXPO2020 Dubai from November 9 to 12.

The state has scheduled events and meetings to share business prospects with worldwide investors through fresh innovative minds, products, and services that the state's business and start-up ecosystem can provide.

These meetings and events will be used by a 17-member business delegation from The Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI), a chamber member of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), led by the chamber's president and MD, Creamline Dairy Products, K Bhasker Reddy.

Mr. Reddy said, "Government of India has set up an ambitious target of US $400 billion exports for 2021-22 and FTCCI aims at facilitating and supporting the ecosystem. The governments all across the world has captured the flourishing start-up community and we are of the opinion that there could be huge synergies going forward between UAE and India and other countries”.

Other industry executives from the state who are part of the business delegation are Anil Agarwal, Sr VP, FTCCI and MD of Jeevaka Industries, Meela Jayadev, VP, FTCCI and MD of Sudhakar Irrigation Systems, and Gautam Chand Jain, CMD, Pokarana Ltd. Members of the group will meet with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry as well as members of the Indian Business and Professional Council for B2B engagements (IBPC). The team will also attend a business meeting between India and the Gulf Cooperation Council, as well as a meeting between India and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It will also include interactive B2B and B2G sessions with the goal of boosting commerce and investment.

Five of the 14 Start-ups that will demonstrate their creative talents were created by women entrepreneurs and are from a variety of industries, including clothing, edutech, finance, electric cars, drones, agritech, prop tech and healthcare. These businesses will present at India Pavilion’s ‘Elevate’ session, which is a pitching event meant to attract investors and will allow them to showcase their technologies in search of possible investors. The events will also include best practise seminars for start-ups and fireside chats with industry experts, so that the participating start-ups may learn more about the current sectoral trends.
