Government Whip Balka Suman states that Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao gives high importance to women's welfare. He has even provided funds of Rs 1,00,116 to each of the 375 recipients of the Kalyana Lakshmi programme on Wednesday at Chennur.
According to Suman, the scheme has helped financially driven parents and made it simpler for them to plan the marriages of their daughters. He stated that 11,000 parents in the Chennur assembly constituency have already benefitted from the campaign whereas 12,259 single women and 789 widows in the segment have been receiving Asara pensions.
Mahila Bhavans worth Rs. 2 crores each have been established at Mandarmarri, Ramakrishnapur, and Chennur, in addition to a mother and child hospital costing Rs. 10 crores in Chennur. In addition to this, four Arogya Mahila centers have been also operated in the area.
