Teams Qualifies at Day 2 of Hockey India Senior Women National Championship

The 14th Hockey India Senior Women National Championship, featuring 27 teams in eight pools, began on March 13 at the Major Dhyanchand Hockey Stadium Pimpri in Pune, Maharashtra, and will end on 23 March, 2024. The eight pools playing in the tournament can be watched live streaming in FanCode and on the field.
On Day 2 of the tournament, Hockey Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh Hockey played a thrilling Pool C game, resulting in a 2-2 draw. Star player Salima Tete (15') scored a field goal for Hockey Jharkhand following that Reshna Soreng (19') got a penalty corner, while Mumtaz Khan (34') and Bano Hina (47') scored penalty corner goals for Uttar Pradesh Hockey. Each team grabbed a single point during the match.
Next, the last year winning team, Hockey Madhya Pradesh defeated Hockey Bihar 7-1 in Pool A, with Hritika Singh (45', 50', 60') scoring a hat-trick and other players, Aishwarya Chavan (6'), Preeti Dubey (9'), Kanchan Nidhi Kerketta (32'), and Ishika Chaudhary (33') contributing goals. The win qualified them for the quarter-finals.
Telangana Hockey defeated Hockey Gujarat 12-0, led by Captain Edula Jyothi (24', 26', 27') and other players, with a hat-trick and numerous braces, securing a commanding win.
Hockey Bengal won Pool H against Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu 2-0. due to the field goals from Sushmita Gandha (21') and Sushmita Panna (38').
