Team Indian Bow Out of Junior Women's Hockey WC

On the fourth day of FIH Junior Women’s World Cup, team India and South Africa progressed out of the competition. On the other hand, four teams from Pool A and C - the Netherlands, Australia, Belgium, and Germany have made it to the top 8 spot.
The four qualifying teams have made it to the quarterfinals. Teams that ended up in the third and fourth in their respective groups will now play the classification matches for the 9th to 16th place.
The day’s first match saw India and Belgium fight tooth and nail to make the cut. Belgium’s score was opened by Noa Schreurs’s field goal in the 5th minute. Followed by that both teams continued to fight hard to create scoring opportunities.
Belgium made its second goal through France De Mot. Soon ace Indian player Annu, got India back India into the game with a brace. But Belgium’s Astrid Bonami scored the winning goal in the 52nd minute and quashed India’s chances of finishing on top of Pool C.
In the second match Germany beat Canada 8-0 in a spectacular fashion.
