Royal Challengers Bangalore secured a 7-wicket haul win against defending champions Mumbai Indians in Match 19 of the TATA Women's Premier League 2024, majorly due to RCB star player, Ellyse Perry's impressive bowling performance and unbeaten 40* off 38 run chase. RCB is the third and final team to clinch the seat of playoff qualification spot. After today's last league match of Delhi Capitals vs Gujarat Giants, most probably RCB and MI will clash at the eliminators on Friday.

The most exciting win of the RCB franchise gave a thrilling experience to their fans at the stadium. More than 22,000 spectators were present to witness the ultimate match. RCB won the toss and as the pitch was fresh, they opted to bowl first. The spinners of RCB were prepared to grab crucial wickets as Sophie Devine dismissed Hayley Matthews before the powerplay ended. However, Hayley and S Sajana made it to 40/5 by 5 overs. S Sajana and Nat Sciver-Brunt maintained a scoring rate against Sophie Devine and Ellyse Perry, while Perry demonstrated her powerpact play getting three clean bolds and one LBW at short intervals.

Ellyse Perry has registered her name in WPL history with the best bowling figures, putting pressure on MI batters. They were restricted to 113 all-out in 19 over. During the second over, RCB started strong with Sophie Molineux and Smriti Mandhana smashing boundaries. Further to their dismissal, the partnership of Richa Ghosh and Ellyse Perry capitalized. Richa took 36* off 28 runs whereas Ellyse scored the highest 40* off 38, resulting in a victorious win.
