Tata WPL 2023: Huge loss for RCB, UPW wins by 10 wickets

The Tata WPL 2023 Royal Challengers Bangalore vs UP Warriorz: Capri Global Holdings franchise UP Warriorz led a successful win thrashing Royal Challengers Bangalore by 10 wickets. It was the 8th match of Tata Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2023 where both the teams faced each other at the Brabourne Stadium, CCI. Team UPW is ranked third on the points table with 4 points.

RCB won the toss and choose to bat first against UPW in the initial tournament of the Tata WPL 2023, RCB skipper Smriti Mandhana said that a good total in the first innings helps to defend. However, they faced a heavy loss of 10 wickets scoring just 138 runs in 19.3 overs against UPW. Whereas, UPW has given tough competition to its opponents by making 139 runs in just 13 overs. The opening duo, UPW captain Alyssa Healy and Devika Vaidya made it to the win with their power pack performance. Sophie Ecclestone became the top performer in the 1st innings of the match grabbing 4 consecutive wickets in 13 runs. ‘Player of the Match’ was achieved by UPW captain, Alyssa Healy scoring 96* runs in 47 balls with 18 fours and 1 six.
