Tata WPL 2023: Gujarat Giants maiden win by 11 runs against RCB

The Tata WPL 2023 Gujarat Giants vs Royal Challengers Bangalore: The franchise Gujarat Giants made its first-ever victory in the inaugural tournament of Tata Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2023 against Royal Challengers Bangalore with 11 runs. Both teams locked horns at the Braboune Stadium, CCI at the 6th match of Tata WPL. Gujarat Giants won the toss and elected to bat first against RCB.
It is the third consecutive loss for the team Royal Challengers Bangalore as they have not won a single match in Tata WPL 2023. They are established at the bottom of the points table with 0 points. The team faced their recent loss yesterday while competing with Gujarat Giants. Team Gujarat Giants wins the match with 11 runs, registering their first-ever win in the records of the respective tournament. RCB suffered its first loss to Delhi Capitals by 60 runs on 5 March and its second loss by 9 wickets on 6 March to Mumbai Indians.
Gujarat Giants smashed the ball and made 201 runs in their 20 overs. It was mainly due to the best players of the respective team, Sophia Dunkley who made 65 runs in 28 balls giving 11 fours and 3 sixes whereas Harleen Deol made 67 runs in 45 balls with 9 fours and 3 sixes, with this she became the highest run scorer of the match. Sophia Dunkley stole the title of Player of the Match by giving a great performance with her bat. She also achieved the milestone of the fastest fifty in the tournament after making a stunning half-century in just 18 balls.
