Tata WPL 2023: Delhi Capitals tops Points Table thrashing MI by 9 wickets

The Tata WPL 2023 Delhi Capitals vs Mumbai Indians: The second match of the Double Header’s day at the DY Patil Stadium, Mumbai is won by the team Delhi Capitals defeating Mumbai Indians by 9 wickets. It was the 18th match of Tata WPL 2023 where DC clinched victory in just 9 overs.

Delhi won the toss and decided to field first against Mumbai Indians. The fielders and bowlers of DC showcased their power to the table toppers and restricted them to just make a score of 109 runs grabbing 8 wickets. People witnessed another marvelous catch from Jemimah Rodrigues against MI. To make the win more interesting, Marizanne Kapp ‘Player of the Match’ got the ball off the deck and in the air taking 2 wickets in just 4 overs with an economy rate of 3.25. She got down some of the brilliant players of the MI. Along with Kapp, Shikha Pandey, and Arundhati Reddy also contributed to taking wickets. The top batters of Mumbai failed to meet the needs as skipper Harmanpreet could only secure 23 runs. Provided a low score, DC chased it successfully in just 9 overs. They have now surpassed MI at the points table and secured their place at 1 with ten points.
