- Swiggy hosted the 2026 event of She The Change in New Delhi
- The event was based on the idea of celebrating women in the Indian Food and Beverage industry
- Awards were given out under two categories: Entrepreneur of the Year and Chef of the Year
‘She The Change’ was held in New Delhi in 2026 (by Swiggy, with the theme of "From Vision to Venture") with the purpose of empowering women who are a part of the food and beverage ecosystem in India.
The event was attended by the Chief Guest Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, and Swiggy Co-Founder, MD and Group CEO Sriharsha Majety, who both presented awards to 28 women in the F&B industry for Entrepreneur of the Year and Chef of the Year.
One such example of the awardees was Sridevi Jasti, the Founder of Vibrant Living, who is working towards the promotion of plant-forward nutrition and sustainable food choices. The awards celebrate the contributions of women towards the Food & Beverage industry and mark the importance of their roles in the industry.
The initiative of "She The Change" brought together a number of professionals from the food industry and emphasized the importance of the initiative by Swiggy towards the empowerment of women entrepreneurs in the food business.
According to estimates by Swiggy, there are around 70,000 women-run restaurants that are being hosted on the platform, and with the help of these restaurants, the company is able to generate around 420,000 jobs with around 6 job holders per restaurant.
