SPMVV hosts Idea to Icon seminar empowering women entrepreneurs

The SPMVV Society for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship Technology Business Incubator SSIIE-TBI conducted their third edition of the 'Idea to Icon Startup Growth Strategies' seminar at Tirupati which supported women entrepreneurship development through its dedicated program. The programme was conducted under the GENESIS scheme of MeitY Startup Hub at Saaveri Seminar Hall, Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (SPMVV), Tirupati.

More than 220 students, researchers, faculty members and startup representatives participated in the event held on Wednesday, highlighting the growing interest in women-led startups and innovation.

Prof V Uma, the Vice-Chancellor, praised SSIIE-TBI for its ongoing work to promote entrepreneurship through its support of women and young innovators. Registrar Prof R Usha emphasised that startups are crucial in shaping India’s future by creating employment opportunities and generating wealth.

Managing Director of Neuheit Pharma Technologies Pvt Ltd, Venkateswarlu, encouraged participants to view early failures positively as stepping stones to long-term success. He explained four types of innovation—architectural, radical, incremental and disruptive—and spoke about the ‘Golden Triangle’ of Idea, Action and Result.

Startup Manager at IIT Tirupati Navavishkar I-Hub Foundation, Charles Avinash, highlighted the importance of strong ideas, Technology Readiness Levels, and government schemes. CEO and Investment Director of Hyderabad Angels, Rathnakar Samavedam, stressed financial literacy for startup success. CEO of SSIIE-TBI, J Surya Kumar, also addressed the gathering, reinforcing support for women startup growth.
