SnapE Cabs Accelerates Expansion; Plans to Double EV Fleet & Hire More Women Drivers

SnapE Cabs is gearing up for substantial growth as it sets its sights on doubling its current fleet to 1,000 vehicles by the end of the fiscal year 2023-24. The company also intends to extend its operations beyond metropolitan areas and penetrate smaller cities such as Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, Varanasi, and more, as part of its strategic expansion plan.

One of the standout features of SnapE's expansion initiative is its commitment to fostering gender diversity within the workforce. Mayank Bindal, the Managing Director of EC Wheels, the entity operating under the SnapE brand, announced the company's intent to hire more women drivers. The goal is to achieve a significant female representation in the workforce, targeting a range of 30% to 35%. This endeavor aligns with broader efforts to enhance inclusivity in the ride-hailing industry and provide more opportunities for women in the transportation sector.

SnapE Cabs places a strong emphasis on offering eco-friendly transportation solutions. With a focus on sustainable tourism, the company envisions making affordable green vehicles available to tourists, catering to specific travel circuits. Notably, SnapE acknowledges the untapped potential in this segment and aims to capitalize on it.

While SnapE's expansion plans show great promise, the company faces challenges related to charging infrastructure. The availability of charging stations for EVs remains a crucial consideration in ensuring seamless operations. To address this, SnapE has established hubs in various locations, serving as centers for vehicle maintenance and charging. These hubs play a pivotal role in maintaining vehicle readiness and reliability.

SnapE's unique value proposition has been instrumental in attracting users. The company's commitment to maintaining clean vehicles and its adherence to a no-surge-pricing policy have resonated well with customers. Presently, SnapE receives around 15,000 daily ride requests, a testament to its popularity among users.

Looking forward, SnapE's growth strategy paints an ambitious picture. The company aims to have a fleet of approximately 5,000 to 7,000 cars nationwide within the next five years. By achieving this goal, SnapE anticipates generating a monthly revenue of around INR 35 crore.

In a landscape described by growing awareness of environmental concerns and a shift towards sustainable modes of transportation, SnapE Cabs' expansion plans align well with the evolving preferences of customers. As the company readies itself to double its fleet, venture into smaller cities, and promote gender diversity, it seeks to redefine the ride-hailing experience in India's ever-changing mobility landscape.
