Smriti Irani Honors Indian Women's Blind Cricket Team for IBSA World Games Gold Triumph

The Indian women's blind cricket team achieved by nailing the gold medal at the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) World Games 2023. The team's extraordinary performance included a resounding victory over Australia by 9 wickets, capturing the hearts of spectators and supporters worldwide. The triumphant cricket players, accompanied by officials from the Cricket Association for Blind in India (CABI), were given a jubilant welcome upon their return.
In recognition of their outstanding achievement, the Minister of Women and Child Development, Smriti Irani, extended her felicitations to the Indian women's blind cricket team. To further honor the team's exceptional achievement, the Delhi High Court Bar Association announced a cash reward of Rs 10 lakh. The team, along with CABI officials, was also warmly welcomed by members of the Delhi High Court Bar Association, where the cash reward was announced amidst a gathering of esteemed judges.
The captain of the winning team, Varsha, expressed her gratitude for the recognition and support extended by the judiciary family. The cash reward not only acknowledges their victory but also symbolizes the collective pride and celebration of the entire nation for these outstanding athletes.
