By: WE Staff | Friday, 31 March 2023
The data-driven cloud security firm Lacework has picked the following five motivating CISOs and security executives as part of the "Secured by Women" campaign. Ami Dave Bansal, vice president and director of cybersecurity at Fanatics, Inc.; Julie Chickillo, director of cybersecurity at Guild Education; Helen McLaughlin, director of security enablement and culture at Mambu; Melina Scotto, vice president and director of information security at Hilton; and Erika Voss, vice president and director of cloud architecture and engineering at Capital One.
The initiative Secured by Women aims to honour the accomplishments of the female leaders in the security industry. The ladies being honoured are true experts in their industries and have improved the security of the future.
The women who were chosen for the Secured by Women initiative by their coworkers "are redefining security by pushing innovation, problem-solving for the most significant digital challenges, and making a dramatic transformation in the workplace," according to Meagen Eisenberg, CMO of Lacework.
"I'm excited to celebrate all the applicants as well as the five leaders who have been recognised as role models for young women interested in STEM and trailblazers in a profession that is always growing. We are grateful for Ami, Julie, Helen, Melina, and Erika's accomplishments and leadership in the security sector."
The women selected as Secured by Women leaders will have the possibility to go to a prominent security conference of their choosing. Also, Lacework will donate $5,000 in matching contributions to Girls Who Code, an international nonprofit group that promotes and advances the involvement of women in computer science.
Lacework intends to carry on the Secured by Women event series at important industry conventions after International Women's Month as part of its continuous efforts to enhance the entire business.
