SATYA MicroCapital presents the third edition of the Vijayalakshmi Das Entrepreneurship Awards 2023

In order to recognise women entrepreneurs at the grassroots level and pay tribute to the late Vijaylakshmi Das, known as the "Mother of Indian Microfinance," SATYA MicroCapital Limited recently launched the third edition of the Vijayalakshmi Das Entrepreneurship Awards 2023.
At the Eros Hotel in New Delhi, the historic launch took place to mark SATYA's completion of six years since its founding.
During their keynote remarks, Dr. Alok Mishra (CEO & Director: MFIN) & Jiji Mammen (Executive Director & CEO: Sa-Dhan) expressed their sincere sentiments regarding the growth trajectory of SATYA and inspired everyone to reach a greater stage of transformation.
Padma Shri 2021 Dr. Niru Kumar, a well-known Indian social activist who has been working for the empowerment of women for the past three decades, was present at the inaugural event and praised SATYA for the extraordinary change it is bringing about in the lives of rural women entrepreneurs.
Dr. Arun Kumar Pandey, an orthopaedic surgeon and assistant professor at VMMC and Safdarjung Hospital who is also a well-known poet, attended the Vijayalakshmi Das Entrepreneurship Awards 2023 launch event as one of the invited guests.
Surekha Marandi, Navin Surya, Dr. Deepali Pant Joshi, and MD, CIO, and CEO of SATYA, Vivek Tiwari, all gave their emotional reflections on Madam Vijayalakshmi Das' composed and polite demeanour, outlining the program's main points in further detail.
More than 300 attendees, including SATYA staff and representatives from the MFI and BFSI sectors, attended the event in good spirits.
Leader of the Year (One Award), Entrepreneur of the Year Awards - Micro (3), Entrepreneur of the Year Awards - Small (3), and Entrepreneur of the Year Awards - Medium (Four Awards) are the four categories under which the Vijayalakshmi Das Entrepreneurship Awards are divided (3).
After the launch, nominations for the awards became available. On the SATYA MicroCapital Limited's official website, you may access the nomination form. The entries must be submitted by December 31, 2022, to be considered.
A panel made up of well-known, seasoned professionals working in India's microfinance industry will judge the nominees. On March 8, 2023, International Women's Day, winners will be revealed at a glittering awards event.
Each of these distinguished prizes is designed to identify, acknowledge, influence, inspire, support, and celebrate the exceptional leadership and accomplishments shown by women business owners within the Indian microfinance sector. This project will inspire women company owners to excel at reaching new heights while also inspiring aspiring female business owners to raise their standards of conduct in order to succeed as successful businesses.
"These prizes will act as an impetus to promote and encourage women to participate in entrepreneurial endeavours," said Vivek Tiwari, MD & CEO of SATYA MicroCapital Limited.
At the local level, recognising and congratulating female entrepreneurs is also vital. Since two years ago, SATYA has honoured the contributions made by female entrepreneurs who have overcome numerous challenges to find success in their fields. Additionally, they are determined to continue the Vijayalakshmi Das Entrepreneurship Awards tradition in the years to come.
For the purpose of generating income and supporting further growth, the MFI is providing more than 10 lakh active clients who reside in rural and semi-urban parts of India with collateral-free microcredit services through cashless transactions. Since its founding on October 28, 2016, SATYA has accomplished a number of significant milestones. Possessing an impressive portfolio of loan disbursements of more than Rs 6,800 Crores and more than Rs 3,250 Crores in assets under management at the moment. By 2025, SATYA wants to help five million households with socioeconomic support. Over 37,000 villages in 21 states have received SATYA's terrestrial imprints to now. In the future, SATYA plans to reach its goal of 5000 Cr AUM by March 2023.
