Svetlana Lukash, a Russian G20 Sherpa, praised India and Amitabh Kant, an Indian Sherpa, for making "Women-led development" one of the group's top goals.

Lukash posted on Twitter and stated, "Grateful to #G20India and @amitabhk87 for putting 'Women-led development' as one of the key priorities of G20. Women are catalysers of positive transformations!"

In his opening remarks at the first G20 Sherpa conference under India's Presidency, Lukash noted that innovations and digital transformation are important engines of growth and development. Therefore, she continued, "#G20India has recommended them as cross-cutting topics at all the G20 working tracks."

Lukash wrote on Twitter, "So motivated by interacting with incredibly competent and endearing experts of the #G20India Team! G20 will succeed because of their committed hearts and innovative minds!

She continued, "Frank conversations of #G20 Sherpas are essential to maintaining the G20 vibrant, effective, & result-oriented."

Amitabh Kant, the G20 Sherpa representing India and the meeting's chairman, said earlier that there had been open and thought-provoking conversations among the Sherpas.

He said on Twitter that world leaders not only discussed concerns pertaining to food and energy security but also placed a strong emphasis on the advancement of Agenda 2030.

"Had frank & thought-provoking discussions with #G20 Sherpas on contemporary challenges facing the world, relating to Food and Energy security which have impacted lives of people all over the world and have put tremendous stress on the progress of #Agenda2030@PMOIndia @MEAIndia," Kant said in a tweet.

The objective of India's G20 Presidency, according to G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant, will be to promote win-win alliances between developing countries, the Global South, and advanced economies.

"According to our viewpoint, a win-win collaboration should exist amongst all of us. Global South nations, developing nations, and developed economies, "At a G20 Sherpa summit in Udaipur, Kant said. "We must develop fresh strategies. This is a special platform for both advanced economies and developing ones. We therefore need to develop strategies to address important global concerns "he said.

According to a statement made by the Russian Embassy in India, the group from the Novgorod region headed by Governor Andrey Nikitin began a working visit to India on Sunday.

The Confederation of Indian Industry met with officials of the government and business communities of the area on December 5 in New Delhi as part of its business trip. They conducted in-depth discussions regarding the potential for beneficial cooperation. At the meeting, governor Andrey Nikitin discussed the economic and investment possibilities of his province.

"Veliky Novgorod is our nation's first historic capital. A more than a thousand-year-old artefact from India was discovered during archaeological study. It was built at the intersection of trade routes. This suggests that there has always been trade and cross-cultural interaction between our nations. The Novgorod region is now a favourable location for trade, cultural interaction, and the growth of industrial ties.

The two greatest agglomerations in Russia—Moscow and St. Petersburg—are exactly halfway between us, and businesses here have the easiest access to those two Russian regions, according to Andrey Nikitin, who made the assertion.
