RedBus Appoints Divya Amarnath as VP & Head of HR

  • Divya Amarnath appointed as Vice President and Head of Human Resources at redBus
  • She will lead the HR functions of redBus and its allied businesses, including Bitla and Savaari
  • The appointment comes as redBus continues to grow and boosts its people strategy

Divya Amarnath, Vice President and Head of Human Resources at RedBus have been named to the newly created position to enhance the company's workforce strategy.

As Vice President and Head of Human Resources, she will lead the company's HR function and its associated businesses Bitla and Savaari providing support to all three divisions.

Divya's key areas of focus will include talent strategy, organisation design, and culture building and employee experience.

She has more than 20 years of HR experience and spent the last 10 years working in senior HR roles in the internet, manufacturing and large multinational sectors including Flipkart, Lenskart and Godrej Industries Group, with experience in workforce transformation and other large HR operational issues.

Divya also spent time at Unilever, providing transformation and reengineering of HR service delivery during her initial years in her career.

RedBus, which is a part of the MakeMyTrip Group, continues to experience robust growth in both India and internationally. Therefore, the appointment of Amarnath to this newly created position is reflective of the company's need to continue aligning workforce initiatives with their ongoing business growth.

With the continued emergence of companies in the online travel and transport space, RedBus is expected to further focus on building organisational capacity, developing its workforce and retaining employees to support its future growth.
