RBIIH to Hold Swanari TechSprint to Aid Indian Women Entrepreneurs in Digital Financial Service
By: WE Staff | Friday, 25 March 2022
The Swanari TechSprint will be held between April 18 and 22, 2022 by the Reserve Bank of India Innovation Hub (RBIIH) to develop smart, creative, and sustainable solutions for underserved, low- and middle-income (LMI) women and women-owned businesses in India.
For Indian nationals and start-ups interested in participating, seven problem statements have been identified, and two event tracks are available.
As a scaleup partner, Avanti Finance, a digital financial inclusion platform, has partnered with RBIIH.
The event's goal is to help Indian women gain access to digital financial services.
It will bring together fintechs, financial service providers, innovators, and subject matter experts to interact, brainstorm solutions, and develop prototypes in real time.
The programme is also supported by a white paper from the RBIH titled Gender and Finance in India, which can be found on Swanari TechSprint's official website.
Rahul Gupta, CEO of Avanti Finance, shared his opinions on the collaboration, "We are delighted to collaborate with RBIH in this mission and support emerging fintech solutions to ensure the best outcomes for women."
He further said, "We also recognise that sustained impact in low-income households is achieved through the economic empowerment of women and currently, more than 75 per cent of Avanti users are women."
