PV Sindhu, an Olympic medallist in badminton, was officially chosen on to carry the Indian flag during the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony. According to a representative of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA), Sindhu will carry the Indian team's flag during the opening ceremony.
