Puma onboards Indian Womens Cricket Captain Harmanpreet Kaur as New Brand Ambassador

Puma which is a famous sports brand in India has appointed Harmanpreet Kaur, who is the Captain of the Indian Women's Cricket Team as their new brand ambassador. The brand wanted to change the mindset of the general public who relates sports to gender specific. The company posted a teaser video and asked viewers to guess who is the next brand ambassador, around 80% of consumers responded as assumed to be a male cricketer.
Puma as a brand has always supported women to empower in sports. Harmanpreet has been added to the list of ambassadors along with Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Yuvraj Singh, Sunil Chhetri, Harrdy Sandhu, and Anushka Sharma. She also became a member of the sports fraternity together with Usain Bolt, Neymar Jr., Sunil Chhetri, MC Mary Kom, Harleen Deol, and Avani Lekhara, a para shooter.
Harmanpreet stated, " Not many people know that I hit my first ODI century in 2013 in a pair of Puma boots the company gave me as a sign of support during my early years. Exactly after a decade, I have been chosen to be the face of Puma now".
Puma India made its roots strong in India's sports and lifestyle sector in the fiscal year that ended in December 2021 by generating a revenue of Rs 2044 crore.
