PublisHer Makes a Grand Debut at the New Delhi World Book Fair

- The 52nd edition of India’s New Delhi World Book Fair opened on Saturday, February 1.Will run through Sunday, February 9.
- An estimated 1.8 million visitors are expected to attend throughout the duration of the fair.
- Over 2,000 stands will be set up, showcasing a wide range of books, publications, and literary products
At the 52nd New Delhi World Book Fair, PublisHer hosted a weekend for women in publishing, focusing on networking and discussions. The fair, running from February 1 to 9, expects 1.8 million visitors and features 600+ events. With over 2,000 stands and 1,000 exhibitors from 40+ countries, the event showcases a global range of books and publications.
The New Delhi World Book Fair is promoting itself as “the world’s largest B2C book fair.” This event includes a two-day “New Delhi Rights Table” for one-on-one meetings between publishers, held on February 3 and 4.
PublisHer made its debut at the fair, with events taking place on Saturday, Sunday, and today at the Pragati Maidan’s Bharat Mandapam exhibition complex.
PublisHer is inaugurated by Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi of the UAE’s Sharjah at the London Book Fair in 2019.
A recent partnership was signed between PublisHer and Visa CEMEA (Central Europe, Middle East, and Africa).This partnership aims to generate new programming and awards to strengthen the core values of PublisHer.
A daily open house at the stand in Hall 4, open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. A “Tea, Cake, and Networking” session at the M Block Market stand of Kunzum Books, a sponsor of the event.

The PublisHer panel at the fair discussed female publishing entrepreneurs in India, with panelists Richa Jha and Trisha De Niyogi, moderated by Arpita Das.
Al Qasimi emphasized PublisHer’s role in supporting global publishing and empowering women in the industry.
