Punjab National Bank's training center (PNB) RSETI Cachar successfully concluded a 13-day micro-entrepreneurship development programme in Kalairbond, near Badarpurghat, aiming to foster self-employement and skill development under the Ministry of Rural Development's significant RSETIs projects. Notable guests included SC Morcha vice-chairman Suraj Sutradhar, National Academy of RUDSETI (NAR) North East, EDP expert-cum-assessor Samina Yasmin Mazumdar, RSETI domain skill trainer Purnima Chand, Senior faculty Shahed Chowdhury, and PNB RSETI Cachar's director Jagajyoti Bhattacharjee.
The EDP in Cachar aimed to empower youth and female entrepreneurs to drive regional economic growth and innovation. Participants received training in business planning, financial management, marketing strategies, operational efficiency, and digital tools and technologies. Industry experts provided mentorship and networking opportunities. The program's success may lead to similar initiatives in other regions, fostering a more inclusive and dynamic business environment in Assam.
The EDP training programme empowers marginalized youth in the Barak Valley by enhancing their skills and opening income-generation pathways. Participants receive certificates, enabling them to apply for loans under schemes like PMEGP and Mudra Yojana. The training emphasizes skill development, women's role in entrepreneurship, and government policies for success. Participants praise the initiative and the efforts of PNB RSETI, Punjab National Bank, and NRLM Cachar.
